I like the fact that you didn't play it like the tabs are up above because there's no reason to be on the 8th fret although I can pull that off it's just stupid to reach for that when you don't have to

Gotcha! Well it’s a two bar phrase that repeats then goes up a half step and is changed a bit. So you really only have to learn two sections. Breaking it into those smaller chunks and going slow should help. Once you have the two parts down separately try putting them together.

Also it’s the rhythm not the notes that is the hard part so maybe try tapping it out on your desk till you have the rhythm internalized for the smaller sections then pick up your bass.
that tabs and what youre playing dont line up, in the second bar when you go to the 8th fret in the tab youre playing the 13 on the E not 8 on the A
Good catch! Ya that’s a typo. That 8 should be 13 on the e string for that f natural.
