I picked this exercise up from the Jaco Pastorius bass method book. The triads follow the harmony within the key of G Major. The first shape is Root - Fifth- Third. The second is Third - Root - Fifth. I have found this exercise to be very helpful with soloing, writing melodic basslines and composing harmony from the bass guitar. Great vibe on this tune! Its always fun learning basslines composed on keyboard because the ideas come out a little different then bass guitar. that tabs and what youre playing dont line up, in the second bar when you go to the 8th fret in the tab youre playing the 13 on the E not 8 on the A
Good catch! Ya that’s a typo. That 8 should be 13 on the e string for that f natural.

No Just my clean bass tone, Monos is in there too and I probably put a few of the notes up an octave as I only have a 4 string, with his low notes that would be an octave haha. Also the recording is not in 440 HZ, so not standard tuning. Close tho.

Three leaf audio octaver with the Sub octave setting on. Trying to cop that synth bass sound.

Thanks for digging my stuff. I don’t remember the brand but they are thick gauge flat wound strings with high action on the bass. I use a Noble DI and did no editing or processing on my bass track after recording.
@@alexgoldbergbass Thank you for taking the time to reply. It's good to know that you did not do any editing or processing. I've got a pair of D'Addario flat wound chromes (ECB82) waiting for me to put on my SX bass. That combined with some foam might already bring me close to the sound of Leezy :) (^.^)
