Hi upflip, I really enjoyed your videos, But on this specific content, what was the cost of there machines used in the production of yogurt. And were they got there machines. Thanks
I find your content entertaining and informative. I started farming six years ago and I am a first generation farmer. It’s a difficult business to be profitable in!! But it can be done!!
Man I wish I lived in the United States. This is truly the land of opportunity. I'm from Tanzania. My tribe is maasai and we are cattlemen. I'm learning alot from your videos and hopefully I'll apply it soon in my farm.
It’s not all rainbows and puppy dogs in the US. High taxes, high property cost, division, corruption, farmland mostly owned by huge corporations, etc. Lots of folks looking to go elsewhere.
It's easier to set up a farm in Tz than in the USA, brother: less butocracy and regulations, lower cost of land and labor... when there's a will there's always a way.
I'm currently 27 years old from upstate NY, I just started university within the last year working towards a Business administration degree. I'm really excited about all the new farming videos coming out on RUclips this is my first time stumbling upon your channel and I hope you continue to capture these wise words of successful farmers. I'd like to open up my own business someday and I'm leaning towards farm marketing. God bless ! Subbed btw
After COVID will be stronger business for you. People are going back to natural products. I have moved away from big business wherever possible. I buy almost everything in mom and pop shops and at the farmers market. Sending prayers for a strong future

Loved every second of this episode and the first as well. What an inspiration. Love the channel. I just subscribed. Would definitely watch more farm videos. Trying to get caught up on the rest of your well edited content.
@Lawrence Weston Many people won’t publicly display their belief so boldly. I meant it as a complement. Being bold for Christ! Not ashamed of = unashamed
Great content and love the way yall produce and edit! Great stuff! Would love to see some homestead operation interviews. Very small scale at home biz stuff. Examples: Justin Rhodes, Living Traditions, Joel Salatin, Honey Tree Farm( young couple killin it), and such. There is a huge viewer base there.
Its wonderful learning from the Lukens Family's past experiences and how they were able to apply different business concepts through learning into their business, that is their recipe for success coupled with some Biblical Principals and help from above, well done and all the best in all your future endeavors.
Brilliant episode. Loved that mom and pop were able to get out of bankruptcy. Asking how they were able to get on the shelf was a great question. That's a huge pain point for entrepreneurs, is "how do I actually move this good product I have now."
What a humble family! Just look at how loving and clean their animals are it's a reflection on their product. Will have to check them out especially the cream top yogurt. Yum!
I love this series that you've done, it's so encouraging to see a family run a business together and be successful in all the ways. It's great how honest and candor they were about the low times as much as the high times and did not try to sugarcoat the trials that they endured it's that kind of information and openness that will help others grow and learn from their mistakes. What they're doing is a dream of mine that's been on my heart for many years and this encourages me to have faith and step forward with these ideas. The best thing about this family is that they are obviously a God-fearing family and they love Jesus and and acknowledge their many blessings. Praise God for this couple and for others like them, and thank you for providing these very inspiring and informational videos to us I look forward to watching more of your content.
Paying people there worth is spot on! Nice to hear you say that. Having owed and operated several start up businesses I have always paid my employees above average pay with performance bonus. My goal is to one day turn my business over as an employee owned company, ESOP.
Beautiful content. 2nd video ive watched from yalls channel and im already subscribed. I want to open a farm later on in life and this gave me great ideas. You have a long-term supporters in me, keep grinding guys ! 👍
love the vids have ever thought of going to other states , this is a good concept to get people motivated to start a business , build this country back to life
Grain feed causes raw milk to be dangerous since it makes the ecoli resistant to high acidity. Feed cows grass and ecoli is non issue since their acidity will be naturally lower.
It would be great if there is greater clarification on the income. Is it gross or net? What about taxes? Also the guy mentioned if they make 90k a month they are cutting it close, what does he mean by that and what is monthly operating expense. But other than that it was an excellent video!
Very good questions being asked I literally have more knowledge than I know what to do with, but rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it !!! Thank you 🙏
Just some advice, the best thing to do to maximize profits is to make a better quality product than others in that same field while selling for slightly less. This would bring in more customers than your competition, even though you make less per item in the long run you will make more money with the increase of customers. A customer's primary concern is can I afford this on a regular basis, then their mind goes to quality, quality is number 2 price is number 1 on people's minds.
My question is how many acres is considered a small farm to these farmers? I heard them mention 70 goats and 15 cows. How many acres do they use to keep these animals healthy grazing year round?
My brother in law tried to get his organic pumpkin oil to sell to a supermarket chain. they basically pushed his price down where he was already struggling and then asked for another 5k to show his product in their catalogue. he didnt make any money in the end ... actually it cost him. plus all the hrs were wasted. thats the downside of this industry
If theres any way you can start saving up on the side, do it. There's lots of ways to make a light side income and start saving up for either a downpayment or just the full price. Thats where I would personally start. Then just keep watching our videos to learn more about how businesses start and run!
If capital is an issue, I suggest finding a partner that has capital, you like working with, and shares your goals. You can definitely make it work, just be inventive and persistent.
Have you ever considered teaching how to get started and may doing a work to purchase program I want to start a farm of my own but have no funds but want to work to purchase with an owner I am a chef Baker but learn quickly
How many times a day do you milk a goat? Do they milk the goats by hand or machine? How many acres is their farm? On average how much milk daily can a goat produce?
Thank you for the great video. This question has intrigued me for a while and I just ask it out of curiosity and not out of hate, because I am not that kind of person. Why a business share how it is operated and give out information for free and therefore buy itself competitors?
Great question @amirfakouri. For some, sharing information and giving out knowledge for free can be a strategic decision for businesses, helping them to establish credibility, attract customers, and potentially foster collaborations within their industry.
If I don’t want to get rich but just want to support myself and my farm - do I need to sell to big stores like Whole Foods or Walmart. Can you make more money if we kept is simple??
Loved these 2 episodes... BUT, I do wish creators on RUclips would tell the "full story". To push a mini series like this claiming they "make $120k a month" is a bit misleading to 90% of viewers. Being in business for myself, I can tell you grossing $120k a month, or hell, even $200k a month doesn't mean anything.... your NET is what matters. Making $120k/mo doesn't sound too appealing if you overhead/expenses are $110k or $115k/mo. I wish they talked more about financials. The equipment, utilities, payroll, etc... dive deeper into what it costs to run a farm like this, and what they are taking home a month, and tell the whole story. Farming ain't an easy, or inexpensive venture. I wish we got to know more. Other than that, loved watching this, and they have an amazing farm, and great and interesting video!

This is nuts. So show us where all these products are made.
