Yep, Ron. The struggle is real, fren. I’ve been following Dr Boz and that encouraged me to start eating sardines in olive oil. I’ve been tracking my glucose/ketone numbers a bit just to see how well into ketosis I am and it’s not like it was ten years ago. Insulin resistance is a real pain. May need to do a bad food week here myself due to budgeting (🤬🤬).
My main strategies at the moment are as follows: Eating clean with low carb numbers. Sardines in olive oil for 3 full consecutive days per week. I’ll get other sardines and just drain them and add my own evoo if I need to. Prioritize fat over protein until glucose number vs ketone reaches a particular ratio. I use Dr Boz ratio and am looking for a result below 40. It’s all about fixing hormones. Fat fixes hormones which is what unlocks insulin resistance. Dr Boz and Steak and Butter Gal are 2 of my go to’s for keeping motivated and on track. Also got into Canned Fish Files.

When I'm frugal I just eat the cheap hamburger, butter and eggs. It's better than not doing it at all.
