  • More Raptor maintenance this week, this time headlight bulb replacement! One of my HID bulbs in my 2014 failed this week, so time to replace the pair. Easy process, I just recommend having a spare bulb or set of bulbs on hand if you own one of these trucks since they are not available at most local stores - I had to order from Amazon.

Omg those screws were the hardest part. I used a t10 and they stripped right away!

Thank you very much. This really helped. I have a 2014 SVT Raptor. it’s my forever truck 500 bucks to replace two front headlights through Ford parts department

Might be easier to connect/disconnect the plug while the screws are out of bulb. Gives you a bit more play to access

If you can fit your fingers in there, I agree - I can't so it's easier for me to leave it secured and not have to hold down myself while separating the plug. Thanks for watching!

If both headlights are flickering at different times would this be my route I need to go? Replace the bulb? Or replace the whole headlight assembly

Quite possibly - I noticed a bit of flickering before failure. Just the bulb needs to be replaced. Thanks for watching!

They are, they're the original bulbs the trucks come with. These are approximately 4300k if I remember correctly. I purchased from Amazon (I believe I left a link in the description), they were under $200 for the pair. Thanks for watching!

The connector is just a D3S connector. Thanks for watching!

Not sure why Ford has to make those clips so difficult. Jesus, what a pain in the ass both getting them off and then back on. Stupid design, I guess the intention is you never need to replace bulbs.

True, Xenon/HID bulbs typically last quite a while, so ease of replacement was an afterthought for sure. Thanks for watching!
