I love this Ironhide. It makes me wish they release a Masterpiece scale, oversized version with better “glass”. I have their Optimus & it’s my favourite. If they did do that, it would be a middle finger to both XTB & FT, in my opinion.
MS seems to be out performing NA. Out of the two, Magic Square is the brand whose ShowZ page is sold out. It reminds me of Takara whimsically releasing plus versions of certain figures. Do they want to “keep em guessing” while New Age plays it honest? Maybe success has gotten to their heads.
Yeah, so...I bought V1, V2, and passed on V3 not thinking the changes would not be significant enough. So I paused your review, immediately went to showZ...and...SOLD OUT. SO frustrating!
@tydiriumhanger1320 All good... It's just that you're right. It's tough to figure out magic squares plans with these things. I picked a Seller on ebay that had two listed that had decent feedback. Of course all that is from china but i'm hoping I hit it right. At least now we know that " fine painted" actually does mean it will be painted well. Next time I won't pass up on the pre order.
Unlucky thing is - they issued it too soon after the 'A' version. So it's not going to sell that well. So they will think - no point in issuing painted versions. Again. MS is great at design but their marketing is really really nits. They have this annual 'Winter sale' where they announce they sell 'old stock found in a warehouse'.. like their soundwave or tapes. And then they have 3 items availible which sell in 1 minute. And they dont think it's indication enough to do reissues...
That is so strange that they go years between releasing more needed figures then 3 of these with the last 3 one after the other. I am okay with it if they just let us all know and pick the one we want
I have their (MS) fully painted Bumblebee and it's awesome. This looks like it's about the same level and if knew it was on the way I would have waited on buying the "metallic" version. I'm tempted but not sure it's worth it just yet. Fully agree, how MS does their releases is very annoying. I think MS' engineering and scale are superior in the Legends game right now. If they could be more consistent they'd dominate.
I think the crazy number of versions that come out for legends is what turned me off. Too confusing to keep up with which version has what deco. I'm normally not into paint, but they look so much better than that chalky look

Why make it hard on urself?😂 Me ill just buy Magic Square Ironhide and then Newage Ratchet... or vice versa. Ull get both worlds with two different transformations in your collection.

That Optimus is the best one yet because of the details even though the 2.0 is a better design

I wonder if MS just produces less than NA or if they produce about the same quantity but NA splits them between 6 different versions
I never bought any TF legends scaled figures but I gotta say that I prefer coloured plastics than painted.
If they would make the figure shiny then it would not require the paint as much

I am also confused and the EX does not always equal the same level of paint but it did this time for some reason

I do not see Ironhide getting better than this in the legends scale or Ratchet for that matter
I know I sound like a broken record but still annoys me MS won't make MP's but just Prime. At least give us a MP Megs MS!
There is a market for many of these upscaled and tweaked for the MP scale but I gave up on that a while back.
