One of the greatest blues instrumentals of all time. Melodic and haunting. Hendrix laid out a brand new path for electric guitar playing, showing the world how the instrument could be the undisputed centerpiece of a new genre of music. The free flowing style he introduced was picked up by axe men worldwide, inspiring them with the freedom to explore, improvise, and create beautiful new sounds. No better song could have ended the movie "Woodstock." Villanova Junction was and is "just so Jimi." Great job, Rocky.
I have NEVER heard anybody play Hendrix that was not beautiful. Way too much respect and admiration for not only a great guitar player but a fantastic human being. Its no wonder why he is among the most highly respected people on the planet. Music is magic and I love the feel you played
What a song, all feeling and heart. Seeing this gentleman play this song so we’ll made me step back as a fan of Jimi and say for the billionth time, Jimi was a bloody genius. I think he only played this song once at Woodstock. Great job, sir. Prop’s
He played it several times including Live at Maui in 1970 and also there is a studio outtake recorded version that appeared on one of his many posthumous records. The Woodstock one is still undoubtedly the best though in my opinion!
Rocky was that super hot guitarist back in the day with his band "Lightening" anybody remember "Lightening Strikes Again"? I remember seeing them on TV doing that song, it's still one of the best straight ahead rock & roll songs ever written
Real power: Hendrix had Woodstock in a frenzy with Purple Haze & then slid the music into this piece & the audience essentially went into a trance they had to wake up from.

Я бы хотел что бы эта композиция играла у меня на похоронах...но,увы,этого не случится-я бродяга,свободный как ветер.

Summer , Your way off base & for one that plays no instruments well you just plain have bad ears & a brain to match. Let's hear you do better.
