Demon Days is bae
*insert "There he is." line.
Absolutely agree, even if I personally love Plastic Beach a little more.
i love the first one, oh and holy shit you're here
all of gorillaz is bae
Plastic Beach is better bae
someone finally was able to put my thoughts into words
All hail the "no notification squad". But we just live on youtube so spot it fast anyway.
sad but true XD
checking in
+MH GH same
Here and reporting for duty! :P
+Marcelo Herzog I know nothing. I must be taught
seriously what the fuck you talking about guys?
that makes sense considering phase 1 is celebrity takedown
Excellent editing once again. Can't wait to see your channel blow up dude you deserve it
Aaah Empire Ants is by far one of my top favorite Gorillaz songs. I love this video, it really explains the reasoning for the 'formation' of the Gorillaz and it captured the elements of why I love this band so much.
I just discovered your channel yesterday while searching for gorillaz content, all i can say is amazing! Your style and input are equally creative and informative keep it up!
far too many people constrain themselves to genres and don't experience great music outside of that bubble. plenty of people from my generation come out with the classic 'i only listen to old music, new music is shit!', and go on to slag off those who listen to what's charting at the moment. if they actually sat and went through music from the last year, charting or not, it's pretty much a guarantee that they'd find something they liked. listen to what sounds good to you haha
This is so true, i try not to do this but i find it hard to find new music that i'll be into without trying to go through countless songs on spotify or something like that. Everything is categorized but i don't want to listen to one specific genre, i just want to find good music..
Daniel Fagboyegun
if you haven't already, check out the indie songs that're on youtube. start with something like 'so sad so sad' by 'varsity' (it has lots of views but that's the song that sort of opens up to the ones with fewer views) and then working your way through the related videos. might not be your cup of tea but i personally love it
Thank you very much wil do so
I absolutely love your videos. They are so beautifully done and edited. I also love how you're not opinionated about the topics you cover. You just tell it straight forward with factual information. I love it
And that's why I was drawn to them a few days ago and wanted to learn everything I can and I really like them because its simple there different!
Gorillaz is pretty much the right act that came in at the right time. I've noticed Gen Z tastes (including myself) are more broad than previous generations, much less restricting themselves to one genre or a few subgenres. While that largely has to do with the nature of the internet letting you explore a much wider variety of music more easily than simple crate digging at vinyl shops, I do think Gorillaz kind of helped prime the pump for that sort of philosophy in music tastes. They never let themselves get bogged down by labels, and as people who grew up in the 2000s and 2010s start to become the next forward-thinking taste makers, you're probably gonna find that a lot of them count at least one Gorillaz album as one of their favorites.
this channel is amazing... Just found it and I feel like it might be my favorite. Great work
Polyphonic told me about this video, and I’m glad he did. You just got a new subscriber. Can’t wait to watch more of your content.
Man, this video explains a lot. I never was able to determine what genre Gorillaz songs were, it was always awkward to share their songs with friends when they'd ask "what type of song is it". I guess it really doesn't matter.
I remember the first time I heard empire ants it blew my mind. definitely my favorite song from them
saddiq ali Have you heard Cloud of Unknowing?
The editing on this video is amazing. I worship the Gorillaz and think they are music genius'. Good work and thank you. (Should have been longer!)
was thinking of this just yeasterday , you explain it in a perfect way
Fantastic video. Hoping they drop something this Sunday like everyone is expecting
This video is so well edited, man! Good job!
This was honestly so good and it made me a little bit emotional, oops! I just love Gorillaz so much :3
I grew up with the Gorillaz, and when I moved to a small town with my mom, it was one of the only things to keep me sane for 8 years. None of the other kids knew it, which was both a blessing and a curse, so yeah dude. Gorillaz is fucking king
I've heard like 2 songs from this band in the last few years, and I never knew who they were
God damnit, every time I watch your videos I get choked up. The elegance of your formula is beautiful, and you talk about all the things I love too. Thank you, for putting this into the world. I wish I could do something like this as a career.
Is that Demon Days playing in the background?
Wow... I completely agree with you in everything you have spoken about thus far. You have a way with words that explains everything you think so thoroughly and beautifully without sounding condescending or arrogant. I watched all your videos in one night and I want more.
Plastic beach was my favorite because of how it was so beautiful it was
Hey kristian, I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos. Amazingly well edited and narrated, not to mention all of the content is so important for people to understand. Not that they have to necessarily enjoy things like Gorillaz or Pixar, but to have respect for art. I've actually begun showing some of your videos (like this one) to my parents, because they can sometimes be a little conservative. What you said in this video is exactly what I've been trying to tell them for years, but never quite put it right. Thanks a lot for making these, and also for making them family friendly :)
Gorillaz x Tyler the creator would be fucking beautiful
LOL NO
+RNS YOU GONE HAVE TO THROW THEM HANDS WITH ME THEN FAM

+RNS AIGHT HOLD UP CUH WAIT TILL I GET OUT THE HOSPITAL I JUST GOT DONE SQUARING UP WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!
OKAY CUH GET WELL SOON BUT DONT DUCK THE FADE LIKE CHRIS BREEZY
I've always loved the Gorillaz but I could never put words into why I just did and you completely explained my love beautifully. Thank you Kristian. I look forward to seeing your bright future.
I love your channel and have been binge watching all day long and every one has brought inspiration and knowledge. I highly recommend for a new video to be about Muse in a similar fashion that you have done with this one. There is a lot of quality meaning and depth to their music and I am sure you would find their music to your taste, with plenty of room for deep insight
Man Gorillaz had the same effect on me! When I was really young I only listned to Oldies, then I got into Punk, then into Metal, then into darker Metal (:'D). But around my 15 or 16 I started to listen to Gorillaz and all of a sudden I listend to HipHop, Electronic Music, Atmospheric, Pop, Rock, Instrumental, RnB, Indie Stuff, etc., etc...
Thanks for the great Video I just now realize how much Goriilaz influenced my Taste in Music.
Cause in the end I still preferre music that is made up of many genres :D
(Sry for the bad english I'm German :D)
like vocaloids?
but the vocaloid producers are artists be themselves, who arent associated with big names as well, and they can hit all different types of genres. Tuners have already made rapping a thing, and they can sing in most languages wiht good tuning.
I fucking love the aesthetics of your videos
Huge fan of Gorillaz. I consistently return to this video
Excellent video, wonderfully put together. Thank you.
I watch these videos for the song at the end.
I love these videos, partly because of that song. Is it a original composition? I can't find it anywhere.
theviniso Tyler the creator-Hey you
jacox 9876 Thank you!
Is there a Music version of this "video essay" youtube channels?
essentially, this video but a whole channel dedicated to content like and created in a similar manner.
Wow. I find this really amazing to know those things about Gorillaz when I just listened it and didn't care much about anything else. That might be the point. To forget about the world that is constantly bombing us with stimulations and get yourself to a different reality where it doesn't matter anymore. And you are there because you like it.
Good work man, keep up with the channel!
I'd say for jazz the biggest labels are "hot" and "cold" but there are dozens of sub genres, however of those, smooth is not one.
To Binge, Empire Ants, November has come, "Hong kong", Broken and all alone are my favorites, I listen to these every night while I sleep, Gorillaz has their fair share of awful songs don't get me wrong, they are far from perfect but to me they're THE BEST band out there.
I watched this like 10 times today along with all the other vids, super stoked on the whole chanel remember my user name when u have 2 mill subs lol
Wonderful video about a brilliant band and music overall
Still makes me sad that there was going to be a collab with Gorillaz and David Bowie a few months before his passing.
Damn.. that would have been intense...
😢
that would've been amazing to hear
Damn ...
I was under the impression that it actually happened?
Empire Ants always makes me cry.
Beautiful video essay m8.
hiya Frank
FrankJavMemes Give me something cool to hear, im bored

I'm so happy Empire Ants introduced me to Little Dragon
I LOVE YOU DUDE
Love Gorillaz, always have and always will!
Indeimaus Woah did not expect you here!
Whoa you here?
PRAISE THE SUN \[T]/
Indeimaus dude I really starting to think that our hobbies are pretty much the same hence I saw you every video that I watch
top 10 dark souls bands where is it
This is the fourth time I found you in a video. If I make it to ten I'm expecting a prize
I feel like once you become a Gorillaz fan, your taste in music really starts to broaden.
Fr bro
So glad you used Empire Ants, one of their most underrated songs. Glad I grew up on this music, helped me explore myself.
Ditto! That's my favorite song from them :)
+TheVintageRomance It's a great song, also good channel you have there.
+Alex Chavez thanks Alex!
Right! I remember I went like months having to listen to that song every once in a while it's such a great song!
its amazing how gorillaz collabs with so many artists and they never fail to deliver it
This video is absolute brilliance, and perfectly goes over my favorite band of all time. Great work.
The gorrilas storyline is such a clusterfuck
: D my sister does and that shit is crazy
yeah it's a bit..... what ever the fuck they Want it to be 😂
pepe the frog totally
the BEST cluster fuck
Cassie Moyles I WANT TO GET IT SO BAD BUT ITS LIKE 120 BUCKS AND IM BROKE :((((((( IS IT WORTH IT??? I WANT IT SO BADLY
Fun fact: The song you hear at the end of every video is a song made by Tyler the Creator called "Hey you" and Tyler is actually a huge fan of Gorillaz as well.
Fernando Rodriguez *huge
jacox 9876 Maybe he's a fan of hugging Gorillaz?
A "hug fan" is a type of fan that attempts to enlist others into the fanbase through kindness and interaction, rather than actually trying to get potential members to enjoy the content.
Jk I just made that up.
not bad. be proud
Fernando Rodriguez how u know tyler is a huge fan?
people ALWAYS ask me "what do you listen to" i say antrying that sounds good to me and they're like "okay but what genres" I HAVE NO GENRES BOI
It's so hard for people to believe that I listen to everything. Yes country too.
Narly_Blue same
if you only listen to "anything that sounds good to you" then you don't listen to everything
Beck Bacon what are you on about?
Well do you listen to drone and avant garde? Or neo psychedelic music?
Criminally under rated channel
I'd say he's pretty well rated. he just started less than 3 months ago.
Honestly, given that he's only been around for three months, I'd say he's doing superbly well.
+Future Horse Productions given 3 months have passed I'd say he's doing quite well
He also makes $900 per video, which is pretty much $1800 per month and that number is going up. I'm sure he'll be fine.
+Future Horse Productions a minimum wage worker makes more than that in a month and it's barely enough to survive.
In the future, Gorillaz will be considered the band that defined this generation. I am saying in a Nirvana type of zeitgeist.
Ravi Silva bold claim man, don't get me wrong, I would love for that to happen, but Nirvana was on a whole different level.
Wimpie Engelbrecht i love Nirvana, and now i shall say that i think in the future, Gorillaz wil be that band that was underrated at the time, but in the future will be decade defining. Like Velvet Underground.
Ravi Silva. I don't really think that Gorillaz is underrated...
Uh... I'm not sure. Maaaaaaaybe it's because I live in russia. But this whole thing with Gorillaz kinda went down very fast. It was everywhere, on MTV and local music channels, on radio. And poof. All of a sudden just "Feel Good" and "Clint Eastwood". As if there are only these two. And whoever I'd ask would be like "yeah, I like their... uh... "Feel Good" and... uhh... "Clint Eastwood" and... eehh... "Dare"?
Nirvana is one a different level. It filled everything for a period of time and still is really popular. Even here in Russia. Even tho everyone still knows only "SLTS" and "Rape me")
+Ravi Silva Nirvana shapes the 90s teenage culture
Every time you upload, it feels like christmas. I love your editing, narration and the overall quality of content is just incredible. I may or may not wish to breed with you.
more like kristmas
taoorus nicee
More like daddy finally coming back from getting cigarette after all these years
I am going to send this video to anyone that says the new Gorilaz song is "Not Gorillaz".
Daniel Silva the songs that were released today were amazing
UnlimitedProduction1 and it's still trending #2 now (that's the best one in my opinion)
I honestly feel like this very well describes why it isn't Gorillaz.
Where's the genre convention breaking?
Where's the dedication of this being an actual cartoon band?
PauLtus B
I actually feel this is a great album. it broke the conventions of the gorillaz themselves. It barely resembles the old albums. It has its own idea it's based around. The idea of a party during the apocalypse. It entirely removes anything you'd normally expect from the band and the mixing of sounds and does its own thing entirely. It went for breaking the conventional gorillaz idea instead of just genre, which we got a bunch of totally different sounding songs too.
It's a great album that people will appreciate with time, like they did with plastic beach.
"it broke the conventions of the gorillaz themselves."
Sure. But considering the Gorillaz conventions are:
-Breaking with genre conventions
-Breaking with the celebrity idea
this is a pretty straight step backward. On the other hand it sounds like the flattest interpretation of what made Gorillaz without breaking from it. Daman Albarn putting something together with a drum computer and some collaboration.
Simply put: Breaking from the conventional Gorillaz is becoming conventional...
This album sounds as "real" as can be. Not feeling like this is any way made by the "band" Gorillaz, but just by Damon Albarn with some collaborators.
I never didn't like Plastic Beach and I didn't remember anyone did.
Man I hope this channel starts to explode soon. Every video so far has been nothing but quality.
I've just noticed that, this channel has a criminally low amount of subs for the quality of these videos.
Never heard about this channel until today, and i definitely agree
Just give it time, once there's more of a backlog people will be more excited.
subs and recognition are great, but in this age of RUclips, make sure to support creators with Patreon and the like! Thats what keeps it going, and what improves quality.
It's fair to say he has blown up, plenty have worked years to get a few ten thousand subs.
I've watched this video way more than I should've.
Kumari Sampson me too
Kumari Sampson That's the point.
I'm still watching this video to this day
WHO ELSE IS HYPED FOR THE NEW ALBUM???
HELL YES, I AM!
I haven't kept up with the band much at all, was there some sort of official announcement?
The only thing that was officially announced was that they began recording this new album in December 2015
what new album( don't yell at me I just started to listen to them)
are u talking about the noodle ep they released on their soundcloud? (which is pretty dope btw)
The music in the intro, is it Lovers in Japan?
respect.
Incredible video. Very, VERY well articulated.
The Calvin and Hobbes video got hit by a copyright claim from Sequential Films? What the hell...
I'm taking care of it
Good to hear, hope it works out for you.
+kaptainkristian good luck
Yeha i was going to say..
it shouldn't be copyrighted because its infoment
and this was the video that convinced me to subscribe. exceptionally well done, intelligent, and yet understandable. much respect, man, I look forward to seeing what else you make.
Whats the ending song name?
Plastic Beach always excites me! I really like Empire Ants and White Flag.
I really do like how many genres were fused into it..i enjoy it more than demon days personally
My favorite has to be do ya thang
YESS, i downloaded that song and played it so much, it's sad not many people have heard of it
My FAVE is Slow Country. Such a good damn song.
Slow Country! Yes! My absolute favourite too!
I think you can make a nice long video about MF DOOM.
I saw it and it was great.
But I can't get enough of DOOM
pls
im am currently getting into doom through madvillany, what are his best albums from here,if you can recomendo?
+Felipe Syderas I feel like you should Check out his Mm..Food Ablum next, after that Operation Doomsday
I'm two months late, but Mm... Food is one of my favorite albums of all time, across all genres. It's just spectacular.
God damn, only 6 vids and you're almost at 100,000 subs, Nice!
They are really good videos too.
I genuinely think that Gorillaz are the greatest musical act of my generation. I see them as the modern day Pink Floyd.
In an interview someone compared Gorillaz to a modern day Pink Floyd and Damon replied “No disrespect to Pink Floyd, but we’ve got tunes.” Heh.
Tony3Productions For me, Gorillaz are closest to the modern day beatles, and Radiohead for is closest to modern day pink floyd.
This video introduced me to Gorillaz and 3 1/2 months later I can't imagine how I missed them after all these years. They are not just my favorite band now but after listening to all of their 4 albums and G to Sea-Sides and all 13 glorious minutes of DoYaThing, they have made me fall in love with all sorts of music again and made me rethink everything about the art form, about how it's not healthy to build walls around different musical styles and to enjoy music as not a set of genres but as a spectrum of sound. So hats off to you kaptainkristian, if you ever read this, i couldn't thank you enough
Ps: super stoked for the new album and I'll be first in line to buy it on Cd and vinyl
Gridstorm like the first four songs?
I fucking love Andromeda I love its dark club sound thats one step away from House music, Saturnz Bars is also good but it took a while for me to get into the heavily autotuned rap, I think We Got the Power is meh it sounds almost like a bad Imagine Dragons song (btw I don't hate them they've got hits and misses like any other band), Ascension isn't my cup of tea because of the repeating line throughout the song but I see the appeal. Either way around I like what I've heard so far and I'll probably end up liking all of them and I'm still planning on pre-ordering the vinyl version for whats going to be the record that defines my last summer before college.
Ren23 Jamaican autotune is just the music Popcaan does. I guess it's not for anyone but the autotune reggae is kinda a cultural trend. I'm kinda happy that not everyone has the same favorite song on the album. The album is very diverse with its influences and pulls in different kinds of people. I'm kind of a pop punk gal and my boyfriend is a deep house DJ, so we love to listen to songs like Andromeda together
I first got into Gorillaz when I was 13. My sister got the album Demon Days and I listened to it with her. It was the first time I listened to an entire album in order and I loved every minute of it.
i like to say that there aren't any bad genres, but musicians that dont make you interested in searching more on that style. for exemple, the country songs i've heard until now werent really a gateway point for me
PS: gorillaz is one of my favorite bands ever,at least one of the most influentials for me
Felipe Syderas I like to think I'm an open-minded guy, especially when it comes to music. I love the fact that music is 100% subjective and opinion differs from person to person but there are absolutely shitty genres. Trap, screamo, and the confectionary pop junk that's ever-popular these days come to mind.
what makes them "absolutely shitty"
Go listen to Johnny Cash and Hank Williams. I'm sure they'll change your mind about country.
Go listen to yellawolf, the guy raps and sings, he's versatile
I was 10 when my mom got me first album demon days and still holds up as one of my favorite albums of all time.
Amazing album! My first was G Sides. It was interesting to listen to their deeper cuts first.
To be honest I find almost all of their deeper cuts far more interesting than their "official" albums. There tends to be such a huge contrast in them when compared to their studio albums. Not all are necessarily better, but they are definitely interesting tracks to listen to :)
why did your mom get you demon days
+Thomas Bjerklund Cause she's badass
Thomas Bjerklund Thanks, hun
two favorite bands.
gorrilaz.
daft punk.
roses are red kill me please same here bro, both of these bands/duo's really know how to make music.
roses are red kill me please check out Kraftwerk if you wonder what inspired daft punk to be robots
Where's the collab
YES! Me too!
Genre segregation is also largely colored by race as well. Many will say Kanye is a rap artist, which is true, but they don't realize he's as experimental as Radiohead and Bjork. Yeezus had a lot of electronic and industrial rock to it and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is haunted with rhythms of Soul and Baroque. It happens with indie black artists too, who will get labeled as RNB when their white counterparts are called indie.
"It happens with indie black artists too, who will get labeled as RNB when their white counterparts are called indie"
I think thats a stretch. Find me a black indie artist who is categorized as RnB
FoodWaterAtmosphere
FKA Twigs has said that before she was famous she wasn't listed as R&B, then people found out she was a woman of color and now that's her genre. There's a genre called PBR&B which is just indie hipster R&B

"We're in central London, in the pretty unerotic environs of a chain restaurant, but twigs remains obviously strange, a compact arrangement of eyes, biceps and goofy teeth. Those peepers grow and flash with irritation when I mention how much of the coverage of her music has seen her boxed alongside "alt-R&B" stars such as Banks, Kelela and SZA."It's just because I'm mixed race," she interjects. "When I first released music and no one knew what I looked like, I would read comments like: 'I've never heard anything like this before, it's not in a genre.' And then my picture came out six months later, now she's an R&B singer. I share certain sonic threads with classical music; my song Preface is like a hymn. So let's talk about that. If I was white and blonde and said I went to church all the time, you'd be talking about the 'choral aspect'. But you're not talking about that because I'm a mixed-race girl from south London." She gives me a look as if I've asked her to take the restaurant's bins out."
Here she is speaking out against alt R&B

+Flynn Gumshoe thank you for these comments i was about to say the same thing
Leave it to Kanye apologists to force him into the conversation when there's no need to.
real shit, gorillaz is awesome
Gorillaz's debut album was the very first CD i ever owned at the tender age of 9...
15 years later and i still listen to it... and i will probably still listen to it in another 15 years time
that's because they are timeless :P
They defy genre so they never sound dated.
SirClawedfrog I don't care how "dated" music sounds or in which genre it is, if I like it I listen to it
It sicken me that ppl dislike humanz because it "doesn't sound like gorillaz"
because I listened to blur before gorillaz. I don't see 2d singing, I see dalmon
David Motherfucking Bowie It's the opposite for me - I found Gorillaz first, so I can only hear 2-D singing in Blur ^^'
I can imagine both.
+Bluewolf 23 I am the same way. I listen to both Blur and Gorillaz the same amount, even though I found Blur first. If I know it's a Blur song, I see Damon. If I know it's a Gorillaz song, I see both as the same person.
David Motherfucking Bowie It depends on how he's singing. I see it as 2-D in songs like 5/4, 19-2000, tomorrow comes today. But ones like feel good inc, melancholy hill, and Clint Eastwood, I hear Damon.
David Motherfucking Bowie same.
Speaking of music, what is the ending credits song? The one that plays in every video. I like the beat.
The part he samples is at the very end. soundcloud.com/indieshuffle/tyler-the-creator-toro-y-moi
Professor Detective Thanks, detective!
Any time, sir/miss.
Tyler, the Creator uses it in his song hey you if you as well you should check it out
Thanks :)
Excellent video. The Gorillaz deserve more critical acclaim than they've received over the years (Demon Days is a 6.9, Pitchfork? Really?)
Pitchfork is ass
Pitchfork is shit. Why do you even listen to what they say?
Pitchfork is a hipster website catering to obscure tastes that most people don't even know about. I love me some obscure music, but I ain't no snob.
I remember when I used to be one of those snobs. Used to read Pitchfork regularly; not anymore.
pitchfork gave daft punk discovery a 6.4, let that sink in
I'm happy, I'm feeling glad.
Because of this channel!
so funny that the creators were frustrated with mtv, my first experience with gorillaz was the stylo music vid that i randomly saw on mtv, it was so weird i had to check out this band.
There's this guy Anderson .Paak who makes great music too. His album "Malibu" is such an eargasmic trip with every track differing from the previous one. It sometimes shift and deconstruct itself which is amazing, the lyrics are good too. I haven't heard an artist that sounds like him, which is great. I discovered him accidentally, and I am hooked.
Anderson Paak is my favourite artist and just like you I stumbled upon him by accident.
Yeah, I found him because of a feature he did with Dean (Put My Hands On You ruclips.net/video/jlM8zQ2PwbM/видео.html) and then I went straight into spotify. He makes such awesome music.
his track on Kaytranada's 99.9 named Glowed Up is pretty sweet
it's just an althiphop album, not comparable to gorillaz or the mix of genres gorillaz does at all
very appropriate time to rewatch this
my one regret in this world would be my ignorance. I had never known about gorillaz until late 2015 enter 2016 (i think dont remember) when one of my favorite reviewers put it in his top 10 animated bands list.I looked them up and was hooked first feel good inc then whatever i could get my hands on.Honestly this could have slipped by me and i would have never known which is the part that infuriates me
Tak i you must have seen rebeltaxi's video, because that was the same way I was introduced as well.
yep love pan
i was introduced by hoodohudlumsrevenge
same
Exact same thing with me. I saw RebelTaxi's video first and started listening to them in January 2016. It was a real wake up call as I'd heard 'Clint Eastwood' many times passively through my life. I remembered 'Feel Good Inc.' and 'Dare' as they where huge hits and got alot of radio play here in the UK in 2005 when they were released. And I'd heard 'On Melancholy Hill' many, many times as it's one of my sisters favourite songs. I was just surprised after all these years that these seemingly arbitrary songs were actually by the same artist. Wished I'd knew about them sooner...
Gotta love Gorillaz
Acceptable.
What I hate most is all these little labels they have for punk sub genres,, like; Oi Punk, Crust Punk ... who the fuck cares. It's all just punk anyways.
Jessie Fox i too dabble in some Fugazi after a little Sum 41
Gorillaz is the best band ever In my opinion made hopefully the 2017 album won't be the last
Damon and Jamie must continue on forever!! And they still havent made that movie (I've been waiting 12 years)
Who Dat Ninja That movie (if made) will be legendary
+Who Dat Ninja Oh hi nice to know you like what I like!
MC. Gemstone Hey Megan! Of course, Gorillaz are THE BEST. And a part of my childhood :)
***** I wish they were but I was too scared of them when I was just a little kiddy
also I don't know if your into anime but if so I would love to hear your take on cowboy bebop or FLCL
He sort of did already, check past vids.
Look at his video about adult swim
I know there was mention of it but something more in depth would be nice maybe not one of those two specifically but something for would be good but either way videos are still gold
I agree, I would like to see an in-depth analysis of one of the great anime series or even a prolific anime director. Miyazaki maybe?
I wonder what color the next thumbnail is gonna be, now that ol' Roy G.'s been exhausted.
Maybe a more pink one? Or black/white/grey/brown? Plaid? Polka dots? okay now i'm getting silly
Perhaps a pot of gold?
Probably Black?
holy shit i didnt notice that lol thats crazy.
The colours cycles
I hope this doesn't get taken down due to the copyright music
Or some of the art. Some of its uncredited.
+HazzBro Some of the art used in this video is fanart, and that's okay, but if an artist see's their work in this video, and they've licensed it, or copyrighted it, they might file a complaint. Especially since he didn't give credit or ask permission-but with art being reposted all the time, it's an easy mistake to make, and I'm sure the artist's won't get upset.
+HazzBro That is-they won't get upset if they know he accidentally used their art in the video. If he did it purposely, then of course they'd get mad. One of the pieces of art here, is from an artist who had previously got her art stolen on instagram. The thumbnail for this video is by the artist, Bulletproof-Eggs by the way;one of her art pieces got stolen and posted on instagram. Jamie Hewlett himself went and commented on the art himself, giving credit to the person who stole Bulletproof-eggs art, and not the actual artist themself.
Now, the artist watermarks their art, and I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy to find out if the same thing happened again, but on purpose.
The video was uploaded late because of Kristian making sure it wouldn't get copyrighted I'm pretty sure
+HazzBro No problem! But it looks like Bulletproof Eggs has already addressed the situation!
O how great it is to find a random terrific video on the side bar.
The Gorillaz are beyond amazing. Their music is always amazing and even though I haven't listened to them all my life, some of their songs speak to me in ways that bring memories of my childhood flooding back into my brain.
im sorry to say this but. *Gorillaz
This video felt a lot more disjointed that previous videos on this channel.
I can distinctly remember the very first time I saw the Clint Eastwood video on MTV when I was 12. It has become a core memory for me because it was such a defining moment in my life. In a time before everything was on demand, I wouldn’t be able to sleep until the video came on MTV at night. I would stay up until 1-2am waiting for the video to come on before I could go to sleep. I was obsessed. I spray painted the iconic red “Gorillaz” tag on my bedroom wall and painted the rest of my room the same color as 2D’s hair. They are the entire reason I started drawing around that age. Now art is my reason for living. This band was so instrumental in forming my personality it’s staggering when I think about it. When my mom took me to see them in concert I literally cried tears of joy. I kind of stopped following them as closely after Plastic Beach because of the struggles I was going through in my life. But with this newest album, I have really rediscovered my love for the band and have relished the opportunity to go back and catch up on everything I’ve missed in the intervening years. It feels a bit like reliving my preteens before life got so complicated. I truly believe this band will define not only our generation, but many generations to come. Because of their ability to transcend all genres and styles musically, visually, and via storytelling, and their adaptability in all areas, they are one thing I don’t think will ever get old or become stale. As long as Hewlett and Albarn are around, Gorillaz will always be relevant. I’m so grateful to the both of them for bringing this band to life and helping to define so much of who I would grow up to be.
The Gorillaz genre is *T H E B A T H*
Occasionally they dip into peppermint tea
AHAHAHA MY STOMACH WENT 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 WHEN I HEARD EMPIRE ANTS AND THATS WHY GORILLAZ IS SO GREAT
I've never clicked a video so fast before in my life. Another great video
Where did you find the graph showing the evolution of music genres?
Found it www.concerthotels.com/100-years-of-rock/
I feel like Daft Punk deserve a mention here... They were the first (that I am aware of) who explored the concept of a virtual band. Their videos at least hinted at that
Yeah, I thought he would at least show part of one of their videos or something.
That's right, I am definitelyyy the president
Ye I was waiting for that too
I feel like they deserve a whole video
Oscar Cantú
Totally agree
