    I really look forward to your videos. I have become a lot more mindful of what I eat and especially making an effort to get more fibre and protein into my meals. I would love to see a video of the hygiene products that you use (shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, etc). I’d like to switch over to healthier products in that regard.

    Could you share some resources that discuss the consequences of silicone in the kitchen? I was under the impression that it was safe to use, but I'm always looking to learn more!

      So the risks of using silicone utensil is very low, and they are still a much better option than plastic. It is generally stable at up to 400-450 degrees. However there is still mixed research over that temperature. I still think silicone is a great choice, but I just use stainless steel and wood because, in my option they are juts as easy to work with.
      In terms of resources I love Dr. Yvonne Burkart. She has a IG page that is very informative, and she did a great post on silicone that I will link below.

    How do you clean/care for your wooden utensils?

    • @drclairelockridgend
      @drclairelockridgend  2 месяца назад +1

      For the board I use soap and a scrubber after every use. Then about 1 time per week I will use baking soda and lemon juice on it. I let the baking soda and lemon sit for about 20 minutes, then scrub it down and let air dry.
      For the utensils I will wash them with soap after every use then every 2-3 weeks I will boil them in water for about 10 minutes and rub them down with lemon and baking soda.
      Hope that helps 💚

      Love this video. Thanks. Just one question. You stated that you didn’t eat coconut oil. Is it because it is bad for you or you just don’t like the taste?

    Claire, what are your tips on using a stainless steel pan? I see you doing the water test.

    • @drclairelockridgend
      @drclairelockridgend  3 месяца назад +1

      Hey! I just say make sure that it is really well pre heated before you use it! I like to do the water test and make sure it moves around. I use a good amount of oil and once you put meat down do not try to flip it too early! I always boil water in it after I'm done to make clean up easy! Hope that helps 💚
