- Today I have a, I think, the most comprehensive review and comparison of the Beoplay P6, made by Bang & Olufsen. This packs a big punch for its small size and portability!! Thanks :D the ones thing that was really hard to do, and still kinda doesn't show, is how much louder the M3 and BS1 are in real life at the same volume setting.
Say what you want about B&O (and their pricing) but they managed to ace these speakers for respective sizes. Since I got the A1 (gen1) I almost completely stopped using my much larger Audiopro & Marshall bluetooth speakers. Such crisp sound in a small form factor is very addictive. Worth every cent.

The BeoSound1 is just so beautiful, very tempting. I have the BeoPlay A1 a few years back (probably not the 2nd gen). The battery is horrible, basically dead now and the usb-c charging port doesn't connect all the time.
Does the BeoSound1 have any silly issues like that? Hoping at that price, it will be perfect!
Have you tried a different cable? My A1 is still doing well and I've had it for a few years now. The beosound 1 has a way bigger battery and has no such issues, also for both an A1 or a Beosound 1 they have spare parts ready so maybe order a battery for your A1? I love the Beosound 1, it's great!
Hi, thank you for nice review. I am considering a speaker to PC and B&O has nice feature, that you can connect it to PC via USB. (I already have A1) And there is my question, for this purpouse, would you buy M3 or P6? No mater the costs. Thank you for your point of view.
I would go for the M3 as it's the superior device for this use case, it sounds better imho and can go louder ultimately but you loose the portability obviously. Hope that helps? Thanks for watching and commenting!
Put 2 x A1 together and the sound quality multiplies by 4 or 5
Stereo is a nice thing to have!
Out of the shootout I only have the BeoSound 1 and not heard the others in person but have to say my go to travel speaker is the BeoPlay A2 but guess this is out of the current range and the A2 is no longer available although I’ve no idea why, would be great with Multiroom, especially great in stereo when you pair two of them.
I think the A2 had the ''flaw'' of not standing upright all that well and the P6 fixes all of that and also while improving the sound. and yeah the stereo option is also very nice in case you have two. My personal favourite for travel is still the A1 as it's so compact and caries a big punch for it's size. I love all of my beoplay products though as they generally great for the price and size, the BS1 is kinda expensive though but it's so elegant I even like looking at it when it's off :p Thanks for watching and commenting though :D
Really love the BeoSound 1 although I brought in way to early and don’t have google assist, just have the Mk1 Copper Tone which is beautiful and like you said find myself going to the bedroom just to look at but it only lives in that room because with the weight and not wanting to scratch it the cable is really hard to wiggle out, heard the charging dock still works on this model even though not advertised that way so may look into that. For me the only downside for all these great products is the App, love Bang & Olufsen and wouldn’t even buy a car that didn’t have but do feel they forget about products and software (my moment being the best case example)

@@4DR14NCR41G Thanks mate! Glad you enjoy the channel and the podcast :D I am pretty sure the dock should work for the mk1 BS1, I can ask John for you if you like? He's the only one that I know that has both versions available and also the dock. The app could certainly be better, we'll shit on it some more tomorrow and encourage them to make it better :p Review of the Beoplay M5 coming soon, it's filmed already just need to edit it etc :)
I bet the a1 is great for throwing in a suitcase and having for travels...

I agree with you about more bass on P6, when I use for the first few day, the speaker bass still weird, after two weeks bass is too much, and can't lower down. must set to bright.
Where would a beolit 20 fit into these in comparison?
Sort of BS1 level, but the bs1 is actually in just a whole different category than a bt speaker, as it's network connected and multiroom capable etc.
Maybe I will get a p6 for my wife, our A2 broke down. Hoping for a black friday sale :-)
It's meant as it's replacement and is actually way more stable than the A2 when you stand it upright. The A1 sort of vibrates across the table at high volume, the P6 doesn't do that. There are very nice colours out atm, I am sure she'll love it and you even more ;p
Nice video what should you think what is best beoplay p6 or a1 but i bought today a beoplay p6...i also have a harman kardon go play and i think the harman is definitely more loud and had more bass maybe... yes harman is bigger but every review and tester says how much powerfull and loud.... but i dont think so
I don't have the Harman Kardon go play so I really can't comment, depends a lot on setting and music probably but like I said, I've never tried the harman one. All I know is that I like the B&O P6 a lot and that it's really powerful for it's size!

have you updated the P6 to the newest firmware? my finding is that updating the speaker vastly improves the sound signature.
Hi Mervyn, I believe so. I don't have it here anymore, but I had the most current software available at the time of posting the video. I shot the video a day before release and returned the P6 a few days later. I personally still feel that the base tune is too base heavy, but I can't comment on the older software as I only used it fully updated :) Thanks for watching and commenting though!
@@CraigIvor I think it will do 24 hours but only at like 35% volume, and that's what they didn't tell you... I too like the A2 but you couldn't really stand it up right properly, as in it would fall over too easily. But all in all the P6 is a very nice speaker and even great if you consider how portable it is :)
Mikipedia yes the P6 had a firmware update a month or so after release. It made a vast difference as the drivers seem to gel together more . One Still needs to be tweaked the B&O EQ in the app .
A2 was a great speaker . B&O should have re-worked , replacing the battery and making it slightly wider for for stability . ☺️

Mikipedia what do you think about two A1s vs one P6? Sounds like a P6 gen 2 would be an amazing speaker if they sort out its issues.
Two A1's would win for sure, I am unsure if a P6 is a big seller so it'll probably stay as is for a while to come :)

Well an M3 is better but not portable and needs wall power, so depends on what you want to do really.

No, I haven't and they don't list any specs at all on the JBL website so I can't really tell you anything useful about the difference at the moment.
