There are multiple ways to lock apps in Windows. However, the easiest way is to use a third-party app locker for PC. In this tutorial, we use a free program called SecretFolder that would let you lock specific apps in Windows 10/11.

No need to install third party software!
Start > Local Security Policy > Local Policies > Security Options > User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode > Rightclick > Properties > Set Dropdown to "Prompt for Credentials" > OK
Now go to your App, Rightclick > Open File location > Rightclick Again > Properties > Compatibility > Tick on the "Run this program as administrator" > OK

Hi, I'm trying to uninstall my secretfolder on my PC, I didn't really complete the set up and now decided to uninstall it, however, when I try to uninstall the app, it says ''Failed to ConnectCommunicationPort'', I didn't even set up a password on the app, please help :(

Check if the app is still running in the background and if there is any file which is still in use or running in the background can't be deleted. Last thing you can do is to force delete the application or a file by using cmd
