What is hybrid training? Does it work??

- This winter I started hybrid training - a mixture of calisthenics and weight lifting. The results have been phenomenal! Sometimes mixing it up and really pushing your muscles to their limits with different training methods is what you need to push through to the next level.
Of course you can also do it with weighted calisthenics, but who says there are rules or limitations? There is value in both types of training!

I just got back into the weights as well, honestly lifting 2x a week has really kept the other parts of training fresh and motivating.
I love the mixture of both because I can still move my bodyweight around effectively but then really hone in on specific muscles with a machine

Yo I have a couple of questions:
1: for the shoulder press, what do you thing about barbell shoulder press instead of dumbbell?
2: is there an alternative to the typewriter push-up for people who cannot do those?
3: what do the dive bomber push ups workout?

I like dumbbell because if you fail you can throw them out and not risk an injury. I wouldn’t barbell shoulder press unless on a smith machine or with a good spotter (heavy weight)
Divebomber pushups work the shoulder chest and triceps more so than regular pushups because of the changes in angle and muscle focus through the movement
