    Otroligt kul, Yamman ser du ut att kontrollera perfekt, det går nog inte att klämma så mycket ut mer, djävlar vad den får varva!
    Du utklassar konkurrenterna i bromsning och kurvtagning.

    When turning, can you feel the front tire grip limit, like if it's almost slipping? I read somewhere you can get away with the rear tire slipping a bit but once you lose the front it's over.

    • @mattiasodlund1147
      @mattiasodlund1147  7 лет назад +5

      Very rarely I really go 100% on the front tire, but when I do I can feel it kind of chattering away slightly. This is very scary though, because if you go over the limit you lock the tire and you almost always crash! The rear is easier, because when you go over the limit on acceleration you just start sliding and can close the throttle and save it easily. So lets say 90% of the time I stay well below the limit on the front, but the other way around with the rear. 90% of the time I'm on the limit or over and sliding.

    how can they brake so fast in a turn?? are they only using the front brake? like i get that you cant use the front brake if your handlebar is steer but its safe to use the front brake while leaning? cause i only hear that ''you cant brake in a turn!!'' lol so it confuse me a little about how they do it

    • @mattiasodlund1147
      @mattiasodlund1147  5 лет назад

      Haha yeah a lot of instructors teach "brake before turning" for safe riding, but it really isnt that much safer. More load on the front tire equals better grip. On race tires optimal braking is at around 20 degrees of lean angle because you get lower center of mass and the centrifugal force of turning kinda "pushes" the front (and especially the rear) towards the ground, using 100% of the available front grip and more of the rear hence faster decceleration. When braking at 0 degrees you only use, say, 90% of the tires grip before doing a stoppie. I brake basically all the way into a corner, letting off right before I hit maximum lean angle, however it may just be like 5% brake and hardly doing anything. I only use the front brake, just because I never took the time to learn how to use the rear brake, but this year I'm gonna focus on that as well as most world class riders use it. Obviously it helps you to back it in, and into the corner when the rear is planted, but even out of the corner on acceleration some riders use the rear brake to control wheelies and slides.

      @mattiasodlund1147  7 лет назад +1

      daniel le Thanks man :) All stock except for Öhlins TTX damper. Other than that we just fitted some immaterial parts like footpegs, clip-ons and race fairings.

      Yeah my next mod too the rear shock feels so swirmy in the canyons haven't got to test it on the track yet. Sub'd can't wait for more vids 👍👌

    5:36 when it goes downhill there, do you use the brakes ? :)

    • @mattiasodlund1147
      @mattiasodlund1147  3 года назад

      Oh yes, it's a very short but hard brakig zone! The downhill puts a lot of force on your arms making it even harder physically, and going over the crest makes the rear wheel very light and it's easy to have it slide down the hill as well, a very nice part of the track!

    • @lametraserillos1
      @lametraserillos1 7 лет назад

      yes, the standard race bikes like mgp or sbk are too spensive, and the federations will need others competitions for acced to the champions with less money.. and for exemple the change gp 250 to moto2 or gp125 to moto 3 .. make the same way or cev 1000, british sbk..
