It’s simply amazing how most people are able to drink and keep their mouths shut, and then for others it is physically impossible. During a show in Sydney, Australia, one woman interrupts Steve three times. The first two times are to make ignorant comments about Steve’s family, and then the third time is to tell Steve that he is nasty. For what, trying to get through his set? Clearly this woman doesn’t understand the definition of nasty, or else she would know to point the finger at herself and her disgusting comments. And as much as she tries, you really can’t blame the alcohol for making you a bad person.

For those saying she's not racist, is she a Klan leader? No. But a little racism is still racism.
The hacky "white people can't dance" joke wasn't the only thing she said. The idea of a black person going to synagogue was SO disturbing to her that she had to vocalize it in a room full of people, and interrupt a show over it.
More importantly, when I asked if she was being racist, SHE said yes. So SHE thinks she's being racist. But cool you think she isn't.
When is being racial being racist? Legit question. Not excusing anyone's behavior.

Sometimes saying something we don't even 100% mean can still hurt the next day because we don't want to hurt people. Maybe u didn't mean to say it but it came from somewhere. Don't be ashamed. We all have dark thoughts even about people we love the most and we all make mistakes. We never say them out loud but alcohol and other chemicals can bring down that inhibition we have otherwise. I love how he always points out how bullshit excuses don’t work. Case in point when she goes “my glass is empty” and he goes “your glass is empty? That’s weird, Because (points to other people) you emptied your glass and you and you. So many people emptied their glass and yet they. can keep their fucking mouth shut” ah I love these videos. I guess experience makes you good at dealing with hecklers, although from what Ive heard actual hecklers are not as common as people think. It’s mostly drunk people. If you look at his heckler playlists you can see the pattern of more drunk people than actual hecklers. I think Steve deals with a lot of hecklers because he does so many more shows than a lot of comics.

I think the main issue people have now is understanding that not all racism is blatant and clear. There are microagressions and implications that people in the majority who don’t have to experience things like that on the regular wouldn’t pick up on. That’s what he called her out for.

If the stereotype is based on someone's race, it is racist. The definition of racist: "a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race"
In this case, the implication is that black people are better dancers than white.

Ok look... a typical stereotype about blacks is that they are TYPICALLY good at basketball. How is that racist? I’m not hating on blacks, I don’t think whites are better then blacks, I’m not a white supremacist or anything. I just simply acknowledge a pattern in reality, that is very consistent. On average, blacks are better at basketball than any other race. You can’t deny it. Just like how you can’t deny, that usually blacks are better dancers than whites. But believe what you want.
If stating an objective proven fact, is now wrong and considered “racist”. Then I don’t care. Call me whatever you feel like calling me. But I know who I am, and I know I’m not a bad person.

Claiming that white people can't dance and black people can is not based in that belief. This is ACTUALLY called a stereotype. It is dangerous for us to confuse the two. Wars have been fought and people have died both supporting and opposing the idea that one race could be superior to another. Tell me which war was fought because one black guy danced better than a white guy. Tell me which war started because of a guy who talked about the 24 Latinos that he saw get out of a white van. The definition of racism is VERY specific about what constitutes racism. This isn't racism.

In order for something to be considered racist its in the intention and motive of ANY action or statement to include but not limit to stereotyping someone by race, thinking you are superior due to race, any adverse actions taking against you due to race, and a whole lot of other things. Yeah, I've been a fan of Hofstetter for a long while now and I do love it when he takes down a heckler but this lady wasn't heckling. If Steve wants to take that as racism then it was racist against white people, not black. Saying that black people are better dancers is not only a fact but a positive thing to say to the black person. And when she said nasty, she did not say "you're nasty", she tried to tell Steve that she was referring to her glass being empty and it had something to do with her glass. Maybe the glass was dirty? I'm thinking that something happened before Steve got on stage that simply made Steve want to target this lady no matter what she said.

I loved that entire video! 😂😂😂 Honestly, when you're aware of racial ignorance, you do become more sensitive to the subtlety of some comments. Not sensitive as in it bothers you, but sensitive as in you are acutely perceptive of it when you hear it. He was more annoyed that she interrupted than the intent of her comments..
