Such a beautiful song, even with vocal and piano solo, though I've always been a fan of Geoff's orchestration and arranging. The studio version is just perfect. The obligato strings through the end of each verse, creating that suspended 9th is absolutely sublime...Geoff, you have been an inspiration to me as a keyboard player! You've never received your due, musically, from those who would showcase "lesser" musicians, instead of someone with your scope of musicianship. We LOVE you, Geoff!
This is the famous MTV Broadcast in December 1983. I remember here in Los Angeles many rock stations simulcast this concert...it was a big to do at that time. Greg Lake fit in quite nicely for this presentation I remember this quite well as a ASIA fan in those days
John Wetton's unique voice was really, really missed, on this performance. And Wetton wrote and composed the whole song, it was not a Wetton/Downes callaboration. Downes' piano playing here sublime, as always
This is fine if you've never heard John Wetton sing it. If you have (and I have), not so good. I do actually prefer this arrarrangement, to the full blown rock ballad version on the Alpha record. Simple piano/vocal version ... with Wetton singing it it would have really floored everybody
Wonderful to listen to! All of them are simply great, great musicians! Simply WOW

Greg Lake and Justin Hayward are the best two vocalist in progressive rock.
rest in peace ....greg
There is a video but it as well as don't cry are missing
Great video HOWEVER I believe the year of this video is labelled incorrectly. This looks like the Buddokan concert in Dec. 1983

@Padarack1 What's wrong with Greg Lake. He has a beautiful voice.

Padarack1 I don't understand how you come to that conclusion
amazing video...but...STEVE HOWE IS THANKING MTV?!? lol
Wetton blows Lake away. Though I love Greg Lake. Justin Heyward good
Padarack1 I beg to differ
This was sang ... pathetically.
Awesome piano, by Geoff though.
