Dark Side of Dimensions uses the manga continuity. Cards like Timaeus and Skilled Dark Magician were used by Atem in the anime only.
Even dosed it was mentioned that kaiba s new retrained blue eyes deck can beat the original atem s deck evening it had some little upgrades

i don't agree with the outcome due to how dsod treats the god cards and how atem kinda lost timaeus, but i do find it a nice duel
he nvr HAD timaeus, thats a filler arc
