How do we feel about gimballed for more time on target? I'm "newer" to ED pvp. It doesn't seem that much a damage knockoff?
The biggest problem is the jitter means you aren't hitting your target super often after 3km or so. You can definitely make it work with gimballed but its not nearly as effective.
This build is more for fighting alongside people instead of 1v1s too, so keep that in mind. You will get stomped if you try to fight other large ships especially. It has a very specific fire support role, where you can get away with nuking 1 or 2 medium ships off the field in wingfights before either dying or escaping

I’m sorry, WHAT? You’re saying a weapon with .5 jitter is less accurate than someone attempting to snipe a ship 3km+ away with fixed weapons?
Yes, jitter means the gimballed weapons miss occasionally, but they’re still more accurate than fixed weapons on a moving target which means even though fixed have more DPS, the gimballed will put reliable damage on a target 9 times out of 10.

What do you think about replacing all the LR/Conduit beams with EFF/Thermal Vent beams? Gives much better power handling, allows shields, but of course reduces damage past 600m. Is LR necessary for large ships using beams?
Sadly there isn't a way to really make beams work with shields on large ships, there will always be a better option. The only reason this build works is because you can nuke people out with thermal conduit before they realize what is happening

I never knew heat damage could go into the HUNDREDS of percent. Not only do all the pilots know about _that_ Anaconda, all the station mechanics know about it, too. They must use this ship as a hazing ritual for all the newbies.

LMFAO Did you have thermal vents on this??? Overcharge/Supersize on the huge one and overcharge/thermal vent on the rest except two of the Class 2's (personally long-range/thermal vents) for my Def Star.

now imagine if thermal conduit scaled up as far as possible. like didn't stop at only 250% what if the damage kept increasing till 2000%? imagine the microwa- no plasma weld action
i made a similar build to this but without heat sinks and made it for pve afk anconda build for farming massacres works like a charm, shield tanking with guardian modules and bi-weave res, i know its stupid, no scbs, 4 point defence for bait defence, and 4 sb, 3 heavy duty and 1 resistant augmented, downside would be shield recharge is shit, and you have to eng to get all your power management on par, 3 pips to sys and 3 to wep.
