Hi ! I’m a French 33 yo lady and it’s 5am here, I can’t go back to sleep and I randomly found your channel tonight. I really appreciated your video, it feels like I travelled to the US and have been welcomed in a friendly American woman’s home. I love the accent, you seem really nice and I enjoyed the recipe too. I have no idea what is corn bread though 😂 Due to a bad mental health I haven’t worked in a while and have been really isolated, so this little moment in time with you was so nice. Thank you !

8:05 “Something has gone horribly wrong” haha! I was almost asleep until I heard that comment 😂
You remind me so much of my late Auntie ‘Ne ❤ She was the life of the party and passed away 3 years ago. You have very similar personalities and I just love your natural humor. That’s what I miss most about my aunt.
Anyways! Thanks for the video Mary! Happy Mardi Gras! 🎉❤

Hi Miss Mary happy Sunday! I am going to make this in the next week or two but I am going to add a little bit more seasoning and pepper as well. I’ve made something similar to this before and it is just so good. I also out like to add a couple of teaspoons of catch-up to the mixture I just thinks it gives it a little zing. Thank you so much for showing this recipe. This is such an easy thing to do and you could do it as a side dish or a main dish with a salad. I love that you show young people and actually anyone how to cook with simple recipes that will give you a lot of servings and on a budget.😊

I made a vegetarian gumbo for Lent coming up on Ash Wednesday because most of us Cajuns/Creoles fast from eating meat during Mardi Gras as most are Catholic but I can’t wait to try this recipe as soon as I can eat meat again but I’m definitely adding kielbasa red beans & rice basically a jambalaya casserole
