  • Update: This is version 1.0.4, not the latest version, so there may be a few differences in the content.
This is just a demonstration of a few features of the hack.
The elecmon has that age an the absurd stats because it was originally a Gigadramon that was evolved to Elecmon just for the video. The age is due to abusing a glitch to give it more than 99 days of lifespan.
The Brains training animation for Machinedramon has been changed to avoid it to go out of bounds. So ignore the one in the video

Brother, excellent work you have done, congratulations! I play it translated into Spanish with the patch of the guys Loud Kuyuki, Dark Kudoh and Uzuhenry and now I'm finishing it but your patch has really broken it with that to organize the digievolutions and balance the game more, I really liked the work you have done, you have given a different touch to the game of Digimon World. As soon as I finish this mod in Spanish, I will play your mod. A big hug from Medellin, Colombia, what a great job you did!

Very Nice job , really. Just a though about making machinedramon more difficult to get, like becoming a reward from raising certain machine-tpe long living ultimate with extreme Stats or other certain harder to obtain things,, like evolving exclusively from a GIGADRAMON (and being gigadramon a mutation of megadramon or sucession with would be more cannonically correct). with over 800 stats. in order to digivolve to Machinedramon instead of having him easily granted as a gift item. The lack of animation problems i think that is harder to fix like giving him a proper pooping or brain training animation.

      Hi, thanks for the opinion.
I'll include a long answer just in case someone else also wants to know why I did it this way:
      * Evolving from an ultimate would require new code to do that, since the original game only lets you evolve from an ultimate with special methods (such as dying in battle) and those are literally not tied to stats at all. The code required it is quite a lot if I want to include stats requirements and a specific digimon to do that. Currently I do not have anywhere where I could add that code without removing another mechanic.
      * Making a digimon have stat requirements that high, would make it playable for only a short time, since I'm sure the digimon will only have a short amount of lifespan left after all that training.
      * I have to make sure there is a way to obtain it that is not too difficult, beating the post-game is an achievement in a way, since you need high stats or to invest in a lot of healing.
      * Evolution items do not give stat gains in the patch, so no stat boost or lifespan increase if you use the item (unless you apply the optional patch that enables them).

You can technically play it on a PS1/PS2... Just use the installer to create the modded version.

@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd that's ace. Sorry I've never done anything like this before but I'll set up my ps1 tonight. Do you have stepnby step guides I can look at to do this?

Do I need to buy anything extra?

The PS1 will need to have either a chip or to be modded for it to work... Since burning a disc will obviously create a non legit copy...
If it is too much of an issue, an emulator would be fine, the game is pretty old and it should not ask for much when it comes to playing it...
I would recommend to do some reading on your own if you want to play on your PS1 and you have never burnt a disc or/and don't have a modded PS1, I would rather not give links. There are plenty of options, but make sure they are safe...

@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd yeah that makes sense. I actually set my ps1 file up and the save game is still there, I presume I wouldn't be able to play this save on an emulator.
I could get a modded ps1 from ebay and then work out how to do it
