Its all looking very professional on this channel now Ross! Great explanation of the product in detail, and appreciate we don’t have to sit through 10 minutes of unboxing. Constantly picking up great advice and content from you, Thank you fella.
Thank you very much mate, yeah ive tried to keep the boring parts put and just stick to the facts and things that people want to see. Glad to hear you are enjoying the content, it really does mean a lot, thank you for your support
Excellent video, exactly what I was looking for. I am old and technologically challenged. This is the only 'set-up' video I have found which goes one step at a time without assuming the viewer has prior knowledge.
No problem, yeah they are and with all the features they have im really impressed, will do a proper review after ive had it running for a while but first impressions are good
Yeah I think it's going to be really useful if it does what it says it does, only time will tell but initial impressions are good! I like the fact that your phone alerts you to any changes or issues straight away and can check the temp at any time, Haha yeah fingers crossed it shows up this time
Hi there. Great video. But one question, if both the heaters you use have a temperature control with it's own probe on it, do you still use the heater's probe at all? should i leave it out of the water? does the Inkbird override that?
Loved the video. I assume that the heater temperature has to be set above the T2 value so that the heater is controlled by the Inkbird and not the heater's thermostat. It seems to me that if the heater is set below, T2, the Inkbird power will stay on and you will get an E5 error
Thank you first of all for this video tutorial but I was just wondering I have the exact same inkbird 306a device but it seems to be not able to connect with my phone app so was just wondering what to do despite trying multiple times and following your instructions on this video clip or from other people's videos on RUclips. As far as I am aware my home BT wifi router has no problem and my inkbird 306a device seems to be good working order but just not able to connect the inkbird 306a device with my phone app. If anyone has any advice/ could help it would be very useful & greatful. Thank you.
(i dont know if that made sense the way i asked it lol. basically one of my heaters has it's own temp sensing probe, (the other does not)... so i don't know what to do with the sensor probe that is attached.)
Hello my bearded friend! May I please ask, are the 2 plugs separately controlled? For eg can I set i specific temp and scenario for one plug and one temp censor and then set a different temp and scenario for the second censor and plug, or does this work as one censor, ie if a temp reaches the max limit we set, the device will power down both plugs? I hope I make sense. Also can you use this device for other uses like controlling a heater not in an aquarium Thank you for your time!
A disappointment for me was the Reef factory kit I have. Reef Factory did some maintenance work on their web based software whilst I was away November to February this year. I woke up one morning to see all my reef factory kit offline, thinking the worse I spoke to my wife on the phone and she told me everything was working but offline. For some reason all my reef factory kit binned my router just after this maintenance work. No amount of turning off and on worked. When I eventually made it home I have to re-connect everything to my router as if it was a brand new connection. I spoke to reef factory several times about this problem they did not seem fussed about the issues. Its a shame because I quite liked the reef factory approach. I do like the Inkbird dual approach. Can you monitor the temperature outside of the home?
Thanks for letting me know that mate, i don't have any experience with the reef factory one but that does sound disappointing, yeah this one works anywhere as long as the wifi in your home is working
Got the same controller myself. Great piece of kit, saved me a few times including when it alerted me when we had a power cut. Cheers for the vid.
Yeah it is, I love the fact it can alert you, one less thing to worry about

Just got a 2nd INKBIRD for my other tank and again your video was very helpful. Thank You again
Tha is for this.. was trying for hours and seen you have a different app to what’s in the manual. Connected in seconds. Awesome
Great Video Ross and an easy explanation to set this unit up. Keep up the good work. Look forward to your next info presentation. 👍

Love that controller. Been running mine for a year with no issues
Nice one thats great to know mate, thank you
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, I just got one of these and you make it so easy for me to understand. Thanks!
Great review Ross, thanks for the info - pretty reasonably priced as well

Great looking piece of kit. Very impressed 🙌. I like the redundancy feature. 2 days to go till the new arrival.

Did you put the heaters at different end's with the Probs?
Yeah I did mate
Top video mate 👍🐠
Thank you
Love this controller and heater it’s great
Yeah its definitely a great bit of kit mate
Great video!!
Thank you
Thanks for the video!
Great vid Ross. I run the DD temp controller too. I do like the look of that tho. Perhaps i should drop the DD one in my tank!!!
🤣🤣🤣 yeah this one has some great features, it's a bit bigger than the DD one but the app and notifications is exactly what I was looking for
Great vid. Just ordered one.👍
Can you use this with two fluval e200 heaters
Hi there. Great video. But one question, if both the heaters you use have a temperature control with it's own probe on it, do you still use the heater's probe at all? should i leave it out of the water? does the Inkbird override that?
Thank you clear and detailed instruction

Use this same bit of kit and works great for monitoring tank if your on holiday etc
Nice one, glad to hear you enjoy it, yeah it will be great for that!
Can these also be used to control vivariums thinking of this for my pythons to control the heat mat and heat lamp
The probes are designed to be submerged so I'm not 100% sure on that one as they wouldn't be kept cool in the water
Looking for a temp controller, watched the vid looks a good one Wi-Fi enabled great . Ordered one same day cheers .
Nice one, you won't regret it, they are brilliant! 👍
Do you have to use wifi?
I only have 5g. I don’t understand how to change settings on the device itself 😢
No you can change it on the device itself too
Hi Ross, do they do a heating and cooling one like the D&D has?
I'm not 100% sure as it wasn't a requirement I needed so I didn't look into that
I wish you showed what goes in the tank
