at first I didn't understand why you said that but now i do .... xd
Navie D. Define “sick”, haha
Here now haha, too early for most beat makers lol
Sorry i didnt liked the video at 7:45 because
I like it the moment I clicked on your vid
Lol
Navie's hand motions while he tells me how to improve keep me alive.
Hahah I am like a wizard casting a spell with these hand motions
and the head wobble
No cap!
Re pitching the loop is ALWAYS a simple go to 🔥
Yep, great way to create variation BANE!
Hands down you have the best music production channel mind you I start watching warbeats great info
Hahah wow, I remember I watched Warbeats way back when I first started
AGREED
I love the small details like saying 12 semitones and then saying 1 octave.
I have used maybe about two or three of these techniques, one that I enjoy using a lot is adding foley sounds either subtly hidden the background or right at the forefront as well as using foley sounds under the snare, kick, and high hat! Also something that I'm late to the game using is reverb on my snares, total game changer, im going to add reverb on some other elements of the beats that I create and see what can be made differently sonically! Thanks for providing the community with great information, it's really useful and helpful!
Oooh yeah a nice healthy touch of reverb can really add depth to your beat
A ton of really solid ideas here, and pretty advanced too 🔥🔥🔥.
Navie D is the one qualified to say "producers hate me for revealing these"!
i love learning. . . .this helped MASSIVELY as i like using loops but i also (like you did) want to make it sound interesting
so thank you for that one :D
Out of all the production channels on this platform, your videos are consistently the most helpful
this was one of ur best vids ! Producers def need to switch up their loops sometimes during the course of the beat, this has been a problem for decades it’s just that sometimes the sample is so good that it doesn’t matter. But when you have a sample that can easily become repetitive, chop rearrangement or pitching the sample def works
Love your channel man! I’m learning so much!! Keep it up 👍🏽
You are the real nspiration for me to finally force myself to start work with samples, cause your sampled beats are another level, +im still in stock plugin gang so this can really get me better, you amazing and i have to thank you again ! Sending love
That makes me happy to see! Sampling gets a bad rep, but you can make some incredible sounds if you know what you are doing. I plan on doing a sampling video soon to show off some advanced tips so be on the lookout!
stock plugins are slept on imo.
Thanks man
That Harmor technique is pure gold, I hadn't even used Harmor before. I don't actually have it licensed in my version of FL but I can still use it and render the clip as audio. Thanks for that and all the other tips too!!
You're welcome Jerome! Resynthesis can be key
Great beat, Navie! Lol @ 7:45, i do think that's sick. Great info here, I didn't know that about Harmor. Thanks man 💯
I usually just chop it in the playlist itself, which works out really well, but I’ll try out this different way as well!
Besides that, reversing is my favorite technique
Your channel is awesome I just got fl 20 and a mini akai mpc and I really wanan get into making beats and I learned so much in the few sampling vids you have up salute 🙏
Awesome! Happy to see that you're interested in sampling. I love sampling personally
Compliments of the season I like how a loop/sample can be turned into a finished track gr8 tutorial
Definitely gonna try out the resynthesis method! Seems like it could yield cool results and I haven't tried it before 😊 Thanks for the video!
It can be difficult to use depending on the sample
I have been searching and searching trying to find info like this your god sent thank you!
Ayyy well I am glad you stumbled upon my channel
Love it!
For the part at around 9:36, i usually use an instance of patcher in which i put all the manipulation effects. Keeps the mixer a lot cleaner and I only need one automation clip in the playlist for the dry/wet
Thanks a lot for this usefullest advices, man!
Very helpful. Thank you for this video! 🔥
Awesome, thank you for watching man
Even though I'm not a trap producer, I think watching tutorials that don't apply to your genre are still useful and all of these are really good tips for sampling.
I agree. Learning about how other genres are made has definitely helped me understand context a lot more
Your a legend with a big influence on modern music production.
Searched whole internet for a solution to fix the gap between original sample and repitched sample. Glad I bumped into your video.
The last option seems really helpfull for beginners, i feel like its a underrated way of mixing loops, i def gonna try it. Thanks for this helpful video
You are welcome. By the way, what is that creature in your avi?
@@NavieD oh its mort from penguins of Madagascar
bruv we owe you allot for actually tackling issues we actually face as learning producers , not that make a whoever type beat naaaah how do i do this . much love man thank you
Thank you, Navie
This is exactly where I got stuck. Thank you man!
Good video. Well done.
Thx for tips Nav ^-^
Amazing bro
harmor tip is nice to play with Thanks !
Yeah you can really use that thing to make some unique sounds
This is absolute gold
Landed on ur channel 2 days ago. Everything u release is precise knowledge👊👊
Thank you young Patty, hopefully you are enjoying my videos

You are amazing man ❤️
😎
Awesome thank you
No prob Omar!
great tip thanks
Put them to use my friend, make some heaters
7:45 that was so sick no way that was a gem
💎💎💎 droppin gems
wow! thanks! 🔥
You are welcome boss!
7:00 I like how he casually blinks while the beat plays
I started focusing on frequency and now my music is better because everything sounds evenly and stands out in its own pocket.
Thanks for letting me know how to use FL studio 🔥🔥🔥🔥
No problem!
amazing
Great video and techniques 👌😀! But tbh everytime I feel like I didn't manipulate enough the sample I worked with. For example if changing the pitch is doing very well, I'm stuck on how to bring more movement to it...
In that case, maybe sampling and rearranging is a skill you may find helpful
Very interesting! 🔥
Thank you Christof!
i actually like the mood change when u pitched it 12semitones down, i didnt think it needed any frequency fixing. it felt like a dark rollercoaster ride
The issue is that it can begin to create lower frequencies that might clash with the bass that you have built (depending on the loop). It can also sound imbalanced as well
@@NavieD AHH i never thought about the potential for it to clash with the bass, fair point.
@@NavieD hey, i am dragging nd dropping my samples in momentum but nothing is happening...please help!
in the repitching part, should we do the same when we use halftime? cutting the low end and boost some mids/highs
Your videos are awesome
Thank you Andre!
another tutorial of most valuable tips
Hahaah yeah the idea came to me after a livestream
Clean stuff, very helpful 👌👌🐗
Excellent, glad it's of some help to you!
You a legend 💗
Do you use compression on loops to control dynamic range is so can you explain how to compress loops
Dude reads my mind sometimes
🧠 I can see your brain
Big like 34, perfect 👌 tutorials my friend very helpful and informative thanks 🙏
Ayyy thank you PT!
Navie D. Yes sir 🤙
Dope!!
Thank you Titan! I enjoyed making this video, glad you liked it
@@NavieD i watch all your tutorials very informative and valuable i make it a Mandatory to watch 2 to 3 videos a day even if its repeated because i want to learn from the best thank you for always giving us your best!!
You the best you are a beast
This guy is a genius.
Can you make a video where you mix the loops.
That Harmor technique is wild, never knew you could use it like that, def a new subscriber
Thanks Andrew! Serum and Iris are other vsts that also allow for resynthesis
So inorder to keep the loop on time I need to click the audio part of the playlist and click stretch
How can I make my loop in timing with what I have going already..
hi! where is the video: "beatmaking fundamentals" on your channel? I can't find it...
That re-synthesis tip tho🤯
Yeeee you can do some pretty wild stuff with resynthesis
i use logic but his ideaa are great and i learn to do them in my DAW
Yep! I try my best to give universal info regardless of DAW
dope hats
🎩🎓👒⛑🧢
danke schön bruder
Awesome
Thank you Rayray
So you can make a full song with different keys from what you start with?
Important!: How to open this window to edit only that one pattern??
THANKS ! And thanks to this Video 💥💎
Downloaded Momentum a few days ago. I dig it, but damn it crashes every other time I open it and at times FL sessions won't even open if it's on a track. Unpleasant to say the least as it's got what I need.
Do you only teach in FL studio? I use Logic Pro
Hey Navie! I love your channel it helps me a ton. When I make trap drums I avoid placing hi hats on the same beat as any other instrument is that fundamental or does it even matter?
Hm, not sure where you learned that technique. I can't envision it sounding better than just adding a normal hi hat pattern, but I guess I would need to hear it first
Navie D. My bad when I said any other instrument i meant any percussion instrument. Like i avoid placing hi hats on the same beat as snares claps kicks but I wonder because a hi hat is such a rapid noise if it even matters?
does anyone have the regroover pro download link after it was discontinued?
Very useful tips!
C'mon now Aluarth, you already know how to make heaters
@@NavieD Hahaha, but that doesn't mean that your tips aren't useful!
Stretch that sample!
i literally can't get past whats next after the 4 bar loop cant even add drums the pian roll is my problem
Yow Navie Awesome tips bro🔥🔥🔥
This One is definetly for me cuz Im so lazy to make melodies
Hey hears an Idea Why dont you make that loop available🥺🥺🥺
So we can some fun with it
pretty useful!i m just struggling through this kind of trouble
Yeah, it's something that can be difficult at first. Hopefully these strategies can help people out
Now all we need is a tutorial on transitions. Adding the spice to the beat.
Is this the real Walter White
@@NavieD yes it is. That's what my driver's license says. 😂 😂
Yoo u got second place on Kyle Beats contest bro good job
Hahaha thank you JD! That was pretty surprising
Navie D. Ya bro. I watched his vid and he said ur name and I was like damnnnn out of all the people my boy navie d. Got it
“Hey I heard what you said, you said you have a problem selling beats so I put together this free trap loop pack”
14:14 OMG I'VE BEEN USING FL FOR 2 YEARS BUT NOW I KNOW THIS ???
Hey @Navie D. For pitch shifted loops can you get the same result copying the EQ curve in Pro-Q??
Hmm can you elaborate? Copying the EQ curve from where?
Thanks for the video! Appreciate every minute watching you!
I appreciate you showing up and watching Dak!
U ARE FUCKING GOLD MINE! THANKS DUDE
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
👌👌👌
hi navie. Do you know any other plugin except harmor for resynthisizing. I dont like fl plugins.
Iris 2 by iZotope
Add iZotope Vinyl on one of your loops to make it different.
Yep, that is also one great creatiev effects tool
