- If you like great views, the Baiyoke Skytower is a must see. It has the second highest viewing point in the city after the Mahanakhon. Tickets to the Baiyoke are 400 THB per person.
The Baiyoke Tower is 309 meters high and is located in the Northern part of the city centre. It gives great views of Bangkok City.
The 360 moving Skydeck is located on the 84th floor, you will also find the highest bar in Bangkok on the 83rd floor. To get there you can take the ARL to the Ratchaprarop station (A7)

I think it's definitely still worth it, free cocktail in the bar with your ticket, and it's a great revolving view from the top. I suppose many would go to the trendier Mahanakhon Tower nowadays.

Baiyoke Tower used to be the tallest building in Thailand for many years before it was toppled by Mahanakorn. There is an annual vertical running event upto the top viewing area. Google for date.

It's definitely worth it! Last September, I spent my first night in Thailand at the Baiyoke, I wanted to start my holiday from there. The rooms need some renovation, but the view from the platform above is absolutely fantastic, you can stay up there for hours watching the entire city and never get tired

A Blast from the Past!
But… which blast?
We used to go to the Baiyoke Tower beginning 90’ies on Sunday early evenings to have a beer & snack at the roof top restaurant.
Hold on… Baiyoke Tower??? Yes, it is called now Baiyoke Suites. But in those days it was one of the tallest buildings! And free entry , pre-selfie era.
Revolving restaurants? Well, I staid at the Narai on Silom rd , had a revolving restaurant with stunning views. But with more higher concrete around it, they closed it. Now demolished for a new and higher hotel .
Always still surprised about the green Makkasan railway yard. When you drive by on the railroad link and look from above, you see the very old buildings and old carriages. Now middle of Bangkok, in those days a swampy area outside town.
Nice vlog with funny reactions - that the Sky hotel is a bit old 😅😅😅. Means that I am a senior citizen now.
I will visit here on my next trip to Thailand thank you for the video it was very good to see the city lights come on.

Great video, as always! Another great way to enjoy the Baiyoke Tower views is to come in the morning, pay 450 bahts (per person) for a full breakfast and enjoy the views for 2 hours or so! IMHO, better value than the 389 bahts for a drink!

Congrats.....you will hit 50K very soon.....👍👍One of my favorite hotels, stayed at Baiyoke Sky many times, a bit outdated but always get good deals and it's worth every cent, always good service and very friendly staff, one of the padlocks on the metal railing of the revolving platform is mine. I know the area very well, many good markets and malls in the area, and a bit of everything to do, great video Jeroen.
I stayed there in August 2022. Good hotel, great buffet food.
Thanks for the update. I went there myself last time I was in Bangkok, spend some 5-6 hours up there since I also wanted to wait for the sunset. Can’t complain about the views, they are spectacular, but the tower does feel pretty dated.

What was your gear for shooting at night for 360° ??
A week ago I was at the gym in my building (upper floor) and wondered what this tall building was so I google imaged it. Learned it was the Baiyoke hotel but did not look further into it. Now I have another destination! Thanks
It's cool to go up there and search for your building.
I stayed at the hotel about 10 years ago. The toilet stuck at about 11:00 pm. The maintenance guys came and fixed it and by the time it was done, it was 2:30 am.
From thís vdo, i saw the view, i heard siren (ambulance) cleary from 88 th floor, i feel have to see Die hard 1 , i already have its DVD, real DVD.
This building and all area belong to my friend Baiyoke family.
Thankyou for exploring this building, now i don't have to do it anymore, because I am afraid for rights lol, 🤣🤣
My husband ate up there years ago with friends. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to go up, I was sick with heat exhaustion the last time he got to go.
If you need to choose, I would go to the king Power Tower.

I went in the morning back in June. Disappointing, especially that noisy revolving floor. And i have been a few times over the years. I think your timing is better - 4:45 to sunset. Thanks for sharing.
Was it noisy really? I didn't hear anything when I visited as they decided to switch it off an hour earlier for maintenance they told me when I went to complain 🤣

It's just a few meters lower then the King Power Mahanakhon and Magnolias River Front.
I think u r wrong , in southeast asia the tallest building is Pitronas building in KL-Malaysia

Is the bar in the mahanakhon not at 310m and then up the stairs gets you to 314m.

I was sure Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur is the tallest hotel in SE Asia, but it seems to be mixed-use so not on the list
Mahannakhon is also taller and indeed mixed use.

View point on this tower is more high
The viewpoint at the Mahanakhon is higher. at 314 meters.
It is a minimum buffet. The only thing is that they have is the view. The buffet is not exceptional. It is average except for Peking Duck.You have to paid extra for the wine. Arriving after 8 PM and the offers are running out.
