I am absolutely love you boat trip and enjoyed watching the scary on the River side as said I was born there in Bangkok but never been on the boat trip before it is amazing to see the transportation by boat and also convenience to get to where you wanted too. Excellent job for explaining what exactly the location is.
I always looking forward to see your vedio every day and I love how you explain in details I'm a big fan 💖 been to Thailand many times mostly Bangkok Samui Phuket Phi Phi island yet you make me discover new places that's awesome 👌I highly appreciate and greetings from Oman 🇴🇲
Probably the best video of the newly constructed piers! I honestly thought they would all look relatively the same but it’s good some of them have their own unique characteristics! Glad they did redo at least 20 of them while some are still under construction! Hopefully the new governor actually proves himself to improve renovate reconstruct essential items in BKK for the all who reside and visit the city!
18:04 This fort was co-designed by French, but in 1688 in the Siege of Bangkok, Dutch and the Siamese nobles joined together to seize this fort from the French forces.
Prannok Pier is the stop if you want to visit Siriraj Hospital, the oldest teaching hospital in Thailand. It is part of Mahidol University which also houses another famous Rama Hospital. It must be the only one in the world that one university has 2 teaching hospitals both of which comprise 3 most prestigious hospitals in Thailand including Chula Hospital. Siriraj Hospital site used to be part of Wang Lang Palace. When King Rama I established new dynasty in Bangkok, he built 3 palaces in the style of Ayutthaya: Wang Na (Front), Grand Palace (Middle) and Wang Lang (Back). Pin Klao Bridge is named after Phra Pin Klao who was commonly known as the Second King in the reign of King Rama IV and he occupied Wang Na Palance. Wang Na Palace is now the National Museum. Wang Lang market is famous for its street foods and miscellaneous shopping.
Siriraj doctors sadly aren’t the Best in their field! Some of the doctors still use techniques back in the early 90s and he is considered the second best in his field in the country! A lot of them fly out to other countries for meetings but rarely bring anything innovative back to Krung Thep that they learned from their trips! Quite disappointed with them and also Samitivej! The only good hospital is Bumrungrad but it’s also the most expensive!
Fantastic Vid Jeroen , This is something I still have not done considering we invested in a riverside condo back in 2014 , perhaps a must do on our next trip up north......Thank you for sharing.....
Please use the boat for tourist. Some boat Thai people use to go to work for they routine. Its really full and dangerous for them if u join them when the rush hours. Thank you.
this is what i would recommend a tourist to do on a short stay perhaps a few days.I am not sure though where would be good area to stay.khaosan road is abit wild west.
Where to stay really depends on your budget and what you want to do in Bangkok. I would not stay in Khao San, because besides the old town, the rest is far away.

I have a question. I will travel in June first time and will be staying at Pratunam. Which will be the closest for me where i can get a ticket and start my journey on this.
Thank you so much for this great informative video. My friends and I will be in Bangkok in November. Can you recommend good restaurants close to movenpick Hotel as staying 2 nights in Bangkok and then heading to Hua Hin for 6 nights!!!
@@globaltravelmate i see. But if you are in iconsiam until 10PM is there still way to go to pratunam if my hotel is in that area? Are there available grab or taxi if the river boat closed already?
There are so many boats and ways to go up and down the Chao Phraya that I am always confused(no supprise there) 🤣 but luckily my wife knows which ones go where😃
Hey, I was curious so I looked it up online. Iconsiam is close to the biggest mall in BKK with 525,000 sq. m. Central Plaza Westgate, at the northern end of the MRT purple line is just a little bigger at 550,278 sq. m. They're both big. :)
@@globaltravelmate Thanks and you're absolutely right. I always, wrongly, think of Nonthaburi as just another part of BKK and forget that it's a separate city. Sorry about that. :)
@@williamchildress1 I mentioned it before that Central Westgate is the biggest mall in Bangkok and I got some remarks about that . haha ruclips.net/video/hO9v7w_xg3o/видео.html
@@globaltravelmate LOL! I know what we can do. Let's just say, "Central Westgate is the biggest mall in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area," since Nonthaburi really is metro BKK. Maybe nobody will argue about that. :)
I think the Shangrila is a better hotel than my beloved Millenium Hilton although they don't have a 360 rooftop bar. This would have been a much better boar for me to take, damn you GTM for forcing me on the Orange line

When I visited to Bangkok, I was ever tried a boat in Chao Praya river. Wow I am very happy and like it. Thanks for best video today.🙏👌
Thank you Eeng, for every day supporting me :-)
@@globaltravelmate You are welcome. This channel is my favorite.🌷🙏

Personally, this is the most relaxing and fun way to explore BKK. Or just go on a boat ride with no set destination. We do it regularly to bre honest.

Very nice boat trip for the tourist.
Brings a lot of good memories back. Thanks for sharing the video 🙏
True 👍

New governor? You must be joking.
Great way to explore Bangkok and cheap.

Interesting! I just read up on the history. Maybe I should visit it one time and make a video :-)
Another helpful video! Wat Arun was under restoration when I went there in 2016. It's really good to know about the all-day pass.
Good idea for a nice day tour on the Chao Phraya, recommend Talat Thewet Flowermarket, the InLove restaurant there, perfect lunch place😊☀️✌🏼🇹🇭👍🏼
Nice trp jeroen nice to see that all places Good....
Great vlog. Thanks for making the effort to put the links in to other vlogs - must take a while.
I have an easy search inside my own youtube page, so don't worry haha. It takes more time to edit the whole thing :-)
I will defiantly put this one on my bucket list! Thanks, Jeroen for a great tour video!! Cheers!!
Hot dam that was awesome!!! I love how you show how to get there and actually get a ticket.
Love the boat tour.
So this is what you was up to when I was in Bangkok,,peace and happiness as always jereon,,,,

Thank you Pisces, I am glad you like it.
Welcome to thailand 🇹🇭💘💞🙏💯
Your vlog about the touring boat is very informative. I hope the route will be extended farther than Pra Arthit Pier.
It will probably stay till Pra Arthit, because there are not much more touristic destinations afterwards.
Hello,
I saw there are different boat tours/rides in Bangkok.
Which one do you recommend and why ?
Thank you so much.
Thank for vdo ❤it’s amazing

It's much better if the hop on hop off ticket can be two or three days, cos not all visit all places in a day rather spread out into two or three days

Das ist wirklich sehr günstig Jeroen , das Tagesticket für 150 Baht . Was kostet ein Tagesticket auf dem Boot in Amsterdam ?
Hello 👋 until what time the river boat ride is available? Are they open for 24hours?
They are not open 24h. I think the last is around 6 pm. But better check their website.

Hello. Thank you for this video. Do they have a toilet on the boat??
No, there is no toilet on the boat.
@globaltravelmate Thank you for this valuable information.
Great video! Will be in Bangkok in Feb. How often do the boats come, and how many boats are there? thanks.
They go every 30 minutes between 9 am and 5:30 pm
3 days no video… I was shocked 😂
I’m doing this for sure in few days 😅

Yeah Central West Gate is officially in Nonthaburi. That is the biggest in Thailand.

Every pier seems different.
If you stay on the boat, does it take you back to Sathorn ?
Yes, it will just return to the starting point.
Is this hop on and off blue boat will return back to the central pier? Is it go in a circular direction?
It goes back to the pier where it started. The station at Khao San is the last pier.
Hello Sawasdee Ka Uncle Charoen or Loong Charoen in Thai.
Is there a place for car or motocycle parking at one of these pier
Motorcycle parking yes. For cars, I am not sure. Maybe you can park at the Shangri La Hotel.
If I want to explore 2-3 destinations (not unlimited), how to do that ??
Better to do it in the evening to avoid sunburn.
I think the Shangrila is a better hotel than my beloved Millenium Hilton although they don't have a 360 rooftop bar. This would have been a much better boar for me to take, damn you GTM for forcing me on the Orange line
Big river
Hi , was their ppl selling tickets for Canal tours ? @Sathorn pier .
Yes, there are always people selling the longtail tours.
Once the boat reaches the last station does it then go back the other way round?
Yes, it just returns and stops at all piers again.
Will be staying at lebua tower for 3 days in January. Which is the easiest way to get to the pier please
From Lebua, you can actually walk to the pier. Its not to far.
Can I use that hop hop boat to asiatic ? Which pier to stop ?
At the end of the day it also goes to Asiatiq, it will stop directly at the pier.
leuk
Where can you buy the ticket .
At the entrance at Siam Paragin next to the bus.
What are we all afraid of?
Thais : sunshine 😂🤣😅
Ausgezeichnet
The one day pass 150THB include return trip right?
Yes, you can hop on and off at any station.
