Oh, wow, is Barbarian Saga still a thing? I recall tehyy tried to kickstart it a few times, and each time the campaign was a flop. Emberbane looks too intimidating with all the rapid character form switching to get platforming traversal right.
Emberbane had the most original enemies, but I don't like the fallen angel theme. Overall, maybe the strongest one for me was the Beastmaster. There's one or two here I will definitely skip!

They just choose either a cute or dark theme, choose either pixel or 3D, slap an anime aesthetic on it, ship it out, and like 17 weebs, Brazilians, and Brazilian weebs go nuts over it for a week and then you never hear about them again. The only Metroidvania worth a shit that released after Super Metroid or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night that actually did something substantial and original was Blasphemous and its sequel. And before some virgin trips over themselves to hit me with an ACKCHUALLY, Hollow Knight was cutesy pretentious garbage for people who watch too much anime.
Bro, go fishing or something, you’re fucking up the vibe for the people who ACKCHUALLY like these. My gripe is all the generic pasted female protags in every single indie game, but you just have a hate boner.
So I'm A fucking beast at metroidvanias, i literally cannot for then life of me enjoy Hallowknight... I think it looks terrible and the color pallette is garbage. I think it's very over rated. I must be missing something about the game
