Hey champs, thanks for the video, yeah I'm thinking that the club will be very careful with Titch now.. giving him plenty of time to recover and rehabilitate, so he will be ready to hit the ground running when he comes back. If that means he won't play for the first month or so when the season starts next year, then I think as you said, we need to have a few players sharing that midfield role. I think having Perryman as the grunt guy-like Titch in the centre, feeding the ball out to Pendles, Daicos and JDG is a good option. Until Titch comes back in the side. I'm reallly hoping that Titch recovers well from the injury, and can be there from Round Zero, but if not, put Perryman in the centre to do Titch's role.

I’d say it’s better to share the contested load over the midfield but I do like having Matt Rowell there also. Share during the season and one or two contested bulls for finals.

Great content mate. I love the idea of spreading the load and watching Ed Allen blossom... I also love the idea of giving up our next 2 1st round picks for Rowell next draft. Remembering that we get a 1st rounder back in McGuane... So its not the big loss of picks some would think

Beau Mc is a bull. Just needs to get his tank up and he could be top 3 in the club.

Love the idea of sharing the load. Pies tend to do that well over the field rather than relying on one player like some clubs. I think you continue to sell Fin Macrae short though. I think his skills are easily AFL level, but he's suffered from lack of opportunity. Fly has alluded to the fact that it's hard for any of the young mids to break into our midfield unless there are forced vacancies. While he plays mostly pure inside mid at VFL level, he's been asked to play the high half forward role in his few opportunities at senior level. Such a role produces inconsistent results. I think he is exactly the type of player to replace Mitchell. He just needs a patch of games to prove his worth. Think he's been really stiff over the last 2 years. But maybe that lack of opportunity has built the fire to drive him to the next level.

Tom Mitchell was never a bull... essentially an outside player with the Hawks and Swans.. He played a negative role on Lachie Neale in the grand final and played a contested role in his first year with the pies and his body unfortunately was not up for that role. My take is Tom will placed on the long term injury list. Thereby creating a spot on the pies list at the mid- season draft

Good video on the replacements as the load has to be spread in terms of contested ball. Its important and massive ops for Ed, Ned, Fin, Harry, Dan, Lachie and even Beau so they'll be options. Don't underestimate Tommy Mitchell as well, he's as tough as anyone on the list and doesn't need pace for his role.

I’d love Ned Long to be the next player that goes to the next level (along with Reef). Imagine a 194cm midfield bull that we can put in defence or attack depending on where the game needs him

It’s an 8-12 week injury usually which will see Tom aim to be back just after our early bye round which will be round 5. Worst case scenario will see him after our second bye round for round 15.

With all the content coming out across all the channels Collingwood centric, which is great and fantastic for us, Collingwood supporters, how come there's no reporting or time given to the AFLW?
There was just a trade and draft that had just concluded, but there was no reporting on it.
Don't we consider the women's team as a Collingwood team, or is there no interest in it?

Reckon we're going to have to share the load, as players like Tom are rare. Not many leap into a contest with such abandonment for their own safety when second or third in line and win it with a clean disposal. I loved Gavin Brown. But Tom has transformed the 'Contested Beast/Bull' into the role of the 'Wombat'. Can't clone that. Maybe Finlay could continue to develop himself into this role as he has succeeded doing it in VFL.

Tom Mitchell,Cripps, Rowell, all have 2 things that are not present in existing players. 1) strong bodies, arms&legs 2)they can play below the knees. The closest we have is Josh Daicos but misses on the first. Rowell would be great but not available till 26. Ed Allen, not a Cripps. Lachie Sullivan has both but not the skill yet, but give him a try.🤍🖤🤔
