    one of the finest videos about pull up/ pull down resistor sir.. Thank you for an awesome explanation in tamil... also please do make some videos about interrupts sir... I'm really stuck in that part unable to proceed to other topics in microcontroller...

    I have seen some videos on this concept all were explained only what is pull up and pull down resister.
    But you have explained why. it's awesome and the concept of floating also explained well.Thank you

    Tnks for explaining this. i had been very confusing on this topic. now i'm very much clear. Very good explanation. Also had some doubt on a different use case. Should I use pull up and pull down resistor if a General-I/O pin is going to receive 0's and 1's continuously from external source ? If I should use, which one I should use, pull up or pull down ? Please clarify my doubt.

      Any of one should be connected. The choice of configuration is based on what should be the default value need for your coding. If you need 0 then pull down or if it is 1 pull up.

    so we should use this pull up and pull down concept whenever we connect some sensors or any external input to the microcontroller? please tell me anna.

    • @ElectronicsForUs
      @ElectronicsForUs  4 года назад +3

      Pull up.means, you are pulling up the voltage level. So you have to connect to vcc. Pull down is the opposite. You are pulling down the voltage level by connecting the pin to ground.

    if pull down resister means what we should do? I am confusing. after searching many vedio I found yours. It is gr8. but please pull down concept has same connection as you shown in this vedio or anything else?

    • @gokula6036
      @gokula6036 2 года назад

      Pull up means I/O is connect to vcc with resister
      Pull down means I/O is connect to ground with resister

    Getting confusion on this
    Now ckt in series
    So vdd voltage differed while voltage coming into controller
    So the controllergets only 2.5v
    So by logic 2.5v is not considered ashigh

    is the pullup resistor connect with the reset pin in controlle ( pic16f877a ),why.??

    • @ElectronicsForUs
      @ElectronicsForUs  4 года назад

      Same reason. If you touch that pin with ground it will be a hardware reset. By default that pin will be high due to pull up.
