You have to generate pulse from khz to MHz. If you use 555, it is possible to generate pulses but can't change the duty automatically. So you have to use a microcontroller.
Last week I bought xl 6009 e1boost converter.. using 3 led strip(used in car,Autos)i used power bank..i step up 5v to 12 v..but it got heavy heat with in one hour that board failed...not output voltage come only 5 v.. acoding to my knowledge diode ss34 may damaged...its not available in trichy..how can i serviced that board
Ss63 is a schottky diode for high voltage and frequency ranges. It is also a smt package. Cannot be replaced by any diode for that particular frequency and voltage level.

Output and input power will not be same in Practical. Efficiency of the converter will be 100% only in theory. In real, there will be some loss.
