Early development
In 2015, after Total War: Warhammer was announced but before it released, Creative Assembly announced that they planned to create a trilogy of Total War: Warhammer games.[1]
In 2016, Russian data-miners discovered plans in the Total War: Warhammer game files for a third game featuring Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch and Slaanesh as factions.

Total War: Warhammer is part of Creative Assembly's grand strategy Total War series. Set in the grim, high fantasy world of Warhammer Fantasy, Total War: Warhammer pits many unique races in a struggle for domination of the Old World. Soldiers clash with magic and monsters, as factions are locked in battle. But beyond this conflict lurks a larger threat: The forces of Chaos descend from the north to bring ruin and destruction, at the behest of their dark gods.
Total War: Warhammer II takes the battle to the New World across the sea, where new races fight to enact rituals and control the Great Vortex. @@darthnihilus6211 Recruit Defeated LL mod also occasionally spawns her as Lord, if any other Vcount factions are still alive. Unfortunately, currently none of them hold for too long beyond like turn 50.
@@Grivehn Really? I use it all the time and I didn't know that. Never noticed it, probably because you are right and that Sylvania is generally the last VCount standing indeed.
@@Indolthir Yeah. People are deathly afraid of Vlad (for good reason), but the thing is, Vcounts now start on the highest possible strength level.
As the campaign progresses, everyone else catches up. They stagnate. And Vcount autoresolve is terrible. So are their troops, even the monsters are mid, only their characters are top tier.
Sylvania is surrounded by good factions. So is Kemmler. Mannfred can pair up with Arkhan, but he often dies to Settra or Volkmar. And Ghorst dies to Kugath every time since the latest dlc.

Tamurkhan came to the wrong neighborhood. Poor guy spent so long crawling here, only to be hunted for having one of the most overpowered Defeat Traits in the entire game.

I farmed it with Grimgor recently by accident. I had like 9 big bosses in a second army really early on, I'd say it's fair seeing how insanely hard he is to kill

I found out this trait 157 turns into a Hellebron campaign and thought "wow neat" for about 5 seconds before realising the obvious.
Global recruitment is at a premium, having 16ish slots feels amazing late game when you can pop an army mostly into existence over a turn anywhere, as Greenskin players (and twice for my boy Skarsnik) can attest ^^
