CoB and Alexi gave me life since I was in my early teens, and now I'm rediscovering it.
I was there at Summer Breeze 2017 and it was so freakin amazing, will never forget that day. It was super stormy and nobody wanted to leave the camping site so me and my bro put on our raincoats and went anyway, it was so fucking windy and I hated it but we could hear them playing the first song already so we just ran over there and already started headbanging with wet hair before we arrived. There's not much I'd regret more if we didn't went to watch'em because of a fucking storm, one hour of singing along all those classics, playing all doubled solos on air guitars, air drums, beers and fun, loved it!!

It was actually delayed because of bad weather, it was pouring rain, the front part of the audience was even evacuated, and everyone started singing "always look on the bright side of life" until they opened that front part every ran into the mud and COB shows up only to play a sick show with old classics. The crowd was going crazy, mosh pits all the time ! God I miss shows so much...

Vladislav Khemy In this particular gig he was freaking awesome. Ofcourse there can be some mistakes when playing and singing with high tempo but 90% of all the solos and bridges were fucking clean and well played. They had never really practiced before and now the have and it truly shows. They have really worked on their mistakes!
Were are going to see a whole new COB. As I said, they still need work but they are going in the right direction... big time! They played this gig as clean, if not cleaner than tokyo warhearts. I gotta admit, I started watching this gig with a crumby attitude, like I knew it's gonna suck... then I gave them a chance and started listening. Thank god I did.
Vladislav Khemy Oh, one more thing... judging from the first song isn't reasonable. It takes that one song to warm up... I can tell from my own experience.
Rest in peace, legend! That was one of the sickest concerts I've ever been to and I will never forget that amazing oldschool set combined with the downpouring rain.
I grew up in the Techno scene and i've been part of this movement for 30 years. But it's the best you can to to stay open minded. I love this band so much! This concert is mindblowing and just fantastic! I love the music!
I still remember this gig. It was my first festival ever and I lost my glasses in the insanley huge moshpit bc it rained so I couldn't see through my glasses anymore, which was why I took them off - big mistake. So when Alexi, may he rest in peace, announced "the biggest moshpit of the festival" while I was standing right next to an already pretty big moshpit that was then even more growing, even though I had doubts to make it out alive and without any broken bones, I jumped right into it and recognized soon that my glasses were missing. A high price to pay but I learned through it, I never took my glasses on to a concert or a festival any more ever since. "Life lessons learned the hard way", to put it in ADTR's words.
That's always been my only problem with CoB in general. The keys do sounds great in all their songs but I feel like they overpower Alexi's riffs half the time.
It's mind boggling that some people really complain about their playing in this live audition! Children of Bodom has reached a whole new level of playing live... COB has finally become what they should have always been and anyone who can't understand this, probably has no idea how to play any instrument or how technically demanding these songs are. I haven't seen this kind of accuracy in their playing since Tokyo Warhearts... if ever! They've really focused on their difficulties and accuracy so that the music would sound the same it sounded on the album, and they actually keep it super fucking clean. Also, their new guitarist brings a lot on the actual live performance, since he seems to be technically very capable and clean on his playing. There are still some things that can be improved as always but personally I'm blown away and freaking happy for the direction they've chosen! I think we're going to see a completely new COB in the coming years!

Resumen hoy día es una de mis 10 bandas favoritas 👍👍🇸🇻🇸🇻🇸🇻
I remember when I didn't finish liking the Children of Bodom music proposal. But for reasons of interaction between friends.
I heard Bodom one more time this time on TV. While talking, although I hadn't listened to more than 3 Children's songs, for some reason I recognized them immediately. That was a before and after about these Finns.
Summary today is one of my 10 favorite bands 👍👍🇸🇻🇸🇻🇸🇻
Missing u Wildchild Alexi. 🤘
Miss you too! So much!
So glad to hear that he can play the Downfall solo correctly again!
lost track of this band for more than 10 years, i'm glad they stepped back into their game iykwim
plus dat bass finally sounds amazing
Fernando Fernando - Yep, big time. They've become what they should have always been. I' haven't seen this kind of accuracy in their playing since Tokyo Warhearts...if ever. We're going to see a whole new COB in the coming years!
RIP Alexi Laiho! Forever in my heart, brother! Thank you for the Music!! ❤️❤️❤️🖕🤘
I can't stop crying I can't believe he's gone,he really inspired my lead guitar playing,I'm devastated 😰😰😰😰😰
Play harder than ever and rip it bro, in his name. Through our bleeding we are one
Rip to the great Alexi Laiho. One of the guitarists and composers who got me into metal and music as a whole. I may have gone in a very different musical direction, but I'll always remember and appreciate the music and its significance for me getting into music.
