I love multispecies lake like the Winnebago system and Wisconsin River flowages! They both fish very similarly, though the Wisconsin system has more structure (in spots). I've never seen a gar caught through the ice before!
Nice video. I’ve been out a few times, walleye bite has been very slow and I think it might have to do with the thousands of baitfish that filled my screen all day. Judging by the walleye you got they are definitely eating well. I’m happy to see the fish might get a break this year. Even though it’s going to suck for fishing it’s nice to see shad again.
Thank you! Yeah all the walleyes I’ve seen come out of the Winnebago system this year are very fat and happy with all the bait around. Definitely nice to see for the future of the fishery 👍🏻
We hammered the slab crappie on about 4" of Ice then this warm front moved in took out the ice . Everyone is hitting walleye from lake Erie up to Saginaw bay in boats mostly huge females being caught
@@CNCoutdoors st Clare really good too .. there's huge school staging for the spawn just be ready for musky there's a lot huge fish being caught.. Saginaw bay and Saginaw river really good this year.. alot limits being caught.. 8 fish limit.. good to kill as many as possible when we can helps the perch out .. feds and the state stopped stocking lk trout in lk Huron now they're stocking millions of Cisco in the bay .. they built some spawning reefs for them .
Happy New Year! Looked like a fun day! I've never seen one of those white bass here in PA, are they no good to eat? Wondering if we will even get ice to fish on here. Had a little when it was brutal cold Christmas weekend not enough to be safe, gone now with it being in the 50's.
Happy new year! White bass are very good to eat, just have to cut everything out below the lateral line. You end up with a nice firm backstrap of white flaky meat. Lots of guys smoke them and pickle them as well. Hope you guys get some cold weather again soon so you can get out!! 🎣
Happy new year!! I didn’t fish that area yet but there were definitely people over there fishing that i could see. I’m sure there’s fish over there. Good luck!
The ice will be just fine. The landings will get a little bit beat up but it looks like Thursday/ Friday everything will firm back up again. Definitely bring the ice cleats!
Honestly they could be anywhere in that lake. I’ve caught them anywhere from 1-10’ of water. If i had a favorite depth i guess i would say 4-5’ is the most productive depth over the years.
Very nice 👌 👍
Momma bear still out there slayin em. That's awesome!
She wouldn’t miss it for the world 🎣
Super star was on . The tri perch / Wb / walleye !
See you guys in April/May.....on the mighty Wolf river !!
Not sure if too much fishing is going to happen for us this spring with the baby coming but we’ll see 🤞🏻
Excelente video saludos desde Columbus Ohio 🐟🎣
Gracias señor
You guys did a lot better than I did that day! There's a ton of white bass out there this year, but most of 'em were pretty tight-lipped. Nice job!
Thanks! Seems like the white bass are finally making a comeback but yes, Sunday and Monday they were not the easiest to catch.

Happy new year! That gar was so wild looking. Wishing you guys good luck in the new year fishing and good health with your little one on the way.
Thank you!! Happy new year to you also
Good to see a video. Was wondering when you would put one out!! Good day out there!
This is the 3ed video of the 2023 ice season, have another one coming out tomorrow👍🏻👍🏻 love this time of year!
@@CNCoutdoorsYou are correct. Not sure how I missed those. Will watch!
That was sweet catching a gar.

Happy new year nice catch 🐟🎣🐟🎣
"Happy-New-Year !!! 🇺🇲🎊🐟🐟🐟🍺👀

Happy New Year guys. Cheers to your health and happiness
Happy New Years! Wishing the same to you

Do you use the same setup for walleye and perch I'm going on winnebago for the first time and I need some tips
Yep. I’m pretty much always using my 26” ML or my 28” M out on Bago for whatever hits that day
@@CNCoutdoors thanks

Hopefully the ice will be back for you soon! Lake Erie is definitely on our bucket list 🪣

Happy New Year to you both. Awesome video. Any reports by Indian point and east. That's where I usually go. I will be there This Saturday. Thank you

@@CNCoutdoors thank you. Hope to see you and Chista out there. Tight lines my friend
Love Poygan if you can get on um!
That’s the name of the game 🎣
How much ice did you guys have out there?
8-10” for the most part but the black ice areas throughout the lake had 5-7”
Awesome to see you guys on them. How do u this the ice will hold up with the rain? Was thinking about trying to get out this weekend somewhere.

Ok thank you and I always have them on.
What are your favorite depths to fish walleye and white bass on poygan

What you favorite landing to go off because I have never fishing poygan yet
@@landenfreemanoutdoors6485 duck in, Tustin, Indian point, noffkes, and the county landing are all good options
Better than a dead muskrat!
So much better 🤣 😂
that ice looks unsafe.
Perfectly fine for a snowmobile that day. The ice is never “safe” you always have to be conscious and aware of what your doing on the ice
