Very impressed with this lyric video! Loved the supermarket footage and the pics of hy-vee you put in there, as well as the animations you used for the text. One suggestion I do wanna make is maybe you should have darkened the brightness on the footage and the pics, that way you'd be able to see the lyrics better. Other than that, this is well made! Also I wanna ask, what software did you use to make this?
Depends on your perspective. Yes, a lot of his older stuff is more introspective and deep, but these newer songs are more fun. Like, Adam really wrote a song that says "I'm filling up the coooool-er" 😂 So I've come to see the new stuff not from a "what can I glean from this" but rather "this is a funny song"! But I get your point too.
The only thing I see here is that earlier when he made song it were open and connected with many people. With cinematic and this it has been more about him, what he likes, his early life and da da da. However this song, I think, could be taken as an inspirational song since some lines are more general like.. “Climb the ladder of Success…”
It's just a different style. It's not flowery or metaphoric, but it's honest and genuine. It may not be what speaks to you, but that doesn't mean it doesn't speak to others. And it speaks to so many of us. I am a writer and an artist and my dream is to get my stories and artwork out in the world and find some form of success. My first legit job was at a grocery store and I cried hearing the words of this song because it's like the older brother I've always wanted hyping me up.
