I fell asleep during Devils due. I woke up to this awesome song" once upon a time"at the closing credits. It touched me in a way I can't explain. Guess it's because I grew up in the fifties and sixties. Remember MLK on TV. I had a teenage queen and a 69 Chevy with 4 on the floor. I remember the evening news giving a casualty count from the Vietnam war EVERY DAY!! Great song!!!great beat!! I now have another song to listen to while riding my Harley!!!
One of the best most underrated bands ever. Part me hopes they stay that way. The other part wants success cause I don't want them to quit. I think i'd cry. ha
I agree. I mean, remember when Dylan went electric, people thought he sold out. Maybe some still think he did, but I don't think Gaslight will sell out anytime soon. Collectively they're true artists who seem to be making a concerted effort to redeem the music of today by remembering its roots, while still maintaining originality. Saw them in Dublin, one of best concerts of my life!
I saw these guys tonight at deluna fest. They did a reallly great job. Eddie Vedder came out and did "state of love and trust" with them. The also did a cover of "house of the rising sun."
@BitterGabe I don't care for this version either, but I commend them for choosing a song with style and giving a class-act like Robert Bradley (and the Blackwater Surprise) some well deserved exposure.
So Marvin Gaye does have a song called "what's going on" BUT, Robert Bradley sang about Marvin Gaye singing "lets get it on". kind of a strange change in the song to make for the cover, but oh well i guess
nah. If you listened to both songs or knew about both songs, "singing what' going on" is a much more powerful line, and makes more sense in the context of this song than him "singing let's get it on"
@katiekitten118 Well I agree...and hope he would too BUT what point would that be? Bruce is pretty damn big band....and i'm sure he wouldn't mind if his music was reaching that many people because real fans appreciate true art. At least I think they do. Anyways they are band that hearken back to such original artists as The Clash...The Doors..even early blues artist and just hope they continue to channel that awesome creative energy even when shit is changing so rapidly.
Smh, what a weak cover. Great song that needs no 'improvement' - deon't mess with perfection. Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise's original is the only one worth listening to.
Devil’s Due brought me here great film and fantastic song in the end credits.

Came here from Devil's Due. I actually loved the movie. :)
Awesome film and easily in my top 5 found footage films
Listening to this, with these photos after the hiatus news is ruining me emotionally. I don't know how I can cope in a world without Gaslight.
heard this song for first time the other day as part of soundtrack from Devil's Due (lousy movie). Great tune! hopefully on iTunes! Thanks.
I heard their song "45" on KERRANG! and started listening to them They're now one of my fave bands :)

100% Agree with you. The movie was no where near worthy of this song. Excellent cover!! Check out the original...it will change your life!!
cbennett12792 Same here. It looked like a modern day found footage version of Rosemarys Baby
great song love it.
@BitterGabe I don't care for this version either, but I commend them for choosing a song with style and giving a class-act like Robert Bradley (and the Blackwater Surprise) some well deserved exposure.
Awesome slow jam...
Very good music, i love

He sang both.
@emthedrummer Don't be hatin on short people. Short people kick ass.
Reminds me a bit of Springsteen.
he sang both
im pretty sure its spose to be "Lets get it on"
song don't have sound?
WTF? They changed "Let's Get It On" to "What's Going On." Was that necessary?
I don't like this version either. No dis, but the singer just doesn't have the soul to pull it off...........
Smh, what a weak cover. Great song that needs no 'improvement' - deon't mess with perfection. Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise's original is the only one worth listening to.
original is much better, got a better sound and feel to it
