She’s Never crossed over to singing secular music, never dressed provocative, never tried to look like Beyoncé as so many other female gospel singers. I LOVE the gospel music that CeCe Winans shares. She said that she wanted us to say something, and I've wondered about her preaching and being a pastor in light of 1 Timothy 2:12. It reads: And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. What do we do with that verse CeCe in light of you teaching your congregation and being in authority over the men there? I e-mailed an administrator on your staff to confirm that you were indeed in authority, and they gladly and proudly told me that you were. I LOVE that you stand for holiness and Jesus, but what do I do with this verse?
How does she stand for Righteousness when she is breaking Gods Holy Commandments, Righteousness is Keeping Gods Commandments, then she says out of her own mouth that God Never changes, ok In Deuteronomy 22:5 that the Woman shall not wear that which pertaineth to a man, she’s wearing pants ( Crossdressing ) which is an Abomination to the Lord thy God, then in 1 Timothy 2:12 it teaches that I suffer not a Woman to teach, you people in these Christianity churches talk about God but don’t follow anything and I mean nothing that it teaches.

One thing about CeCe is she’s remained CONSISTENT.. consistent in her beautiful singing voice after all these years , consistently showing kindness and grace, consistently staying out of the media in a negative way bc that’s not her character , and consistently telling people about how good God is and living that life. I have much respect for CeCe. When her good friend Whitney Houston asked her to be a part of the song “I’m Every Woman”, she declined the offer. When she mentioned why she couldn’t do the song, she quoted the first line “I can cast a spell…”. So many of us loved that song without even considering the lyrics were not of God. CeCe is the real deal and her walk and talk match up. Thank you CeCe for showing us your unwavering faith.

I met this lady in Washington DC when I was a young teacher, and I have been saying for years to anyone that would listen to me that she lives what she sings about and of course now what she preaches about. The realness and anointing I felt while sitting and talking with her touched my heart even to this day. May God continue to use her to do his will.

When I was in Jr HS they said I sing like CeCe. Lord I wanted to meet Bebe and Cece and all 10 Winans Papa and Mama. Then later be her Best Friend like Whitney. Couldn't wait for Christmas at my church in Atlanta to hear her sing with that glowing smile. Then I went to her concert in 2000 her anointing uhm that smile but LORD that anointing. Others came SANG and went but LORD Cece. Lord why I can't be good like Cece? Then the Lord made me Judy with the HEART and smile for him JUST like Cece. I am glad she has an attitude too.

Cece once said she has been presented with numerous offers from the industry, but turned them down. One of those offers was from Whitney Houston to appear in her "Im Every Woman" video. She turned it down because she said the lyrics of the song were not inline with the Word of God. She didn't cut Whitney off, but simply stood her ground for her faith - and I thank God for keeping my sister in Christ on solid ground.
