I also wanted to add that the monsoon rains have been spotty over Eastern Africa which caused waves coming off the continent to be slightly weaker and more northerly than usual. But if you look at the radar, you will see that the waves starting to become more frequent and stronger. When the MJO reaches around the Horn Of Africa it will ignite the monsoon rains more than what they’ve done. I highly recommend everyone who lives in hurricane areas to take this small window of opportunity to make their preparations and stop worrying about if this season is a bust. We have almost three years of untapped hot water sitting and it has to be evaporated. This type of hot water is very harmful to sea life and our environment

This season will end up being way overrated. La Nina is not very strong and will not last long. The storms that do develope will swing north and miss the U.S.
I'm sure there are tons of Hawaii natives and residents watching this channel. Get a grip, More people live in just the Miami area in Florida than in that entire state lol
