Just because there are a few "Road Closed" signs, doesn't mean that trucks won't plow threw there. It is the bridge that calls out to them: "You will fit, keep going. The signs are just there for wimps who are scared to try" 😁
Not in this video, the new protective crash beam isn't up yet as it has been shown on more recent videos. The new beam is more substantial and is painted "traffic stop" yellow. Look around a bit more and you should run across it.
What's your plans for this channel now?? Since the *"Can Opener"* will not be opening many "cans" anymore. Since most of the damaged vehicles happened between 11" 8' & 12" 4' height. Most of.your viewers, Xavier. Are here for the crashes. Not watching Amtrak's crossing a bridge.
I'm glad to hear that the can opener bridge is being rebuilt. So far 148 vehicles hit this bridge
*150
@UCKY5Syu6pNJkUiEPwz8r8Bw The reason trucks don't go the other way is because the bridge is situated above a one-way street.
And counting despite it being lifted
Awesome video Xavier and non powered npcu 101 to 105 I hope 201 and 202 is getting a new rebuilt
Thanks!!! 101 to 105 hopefully will enter service in the next few weeks and at most before the end of the year.
Xavier Hunter your welcome Xavier and when does end of the year
Glory days are over. RIP.
Ya, because there are no trucks above 12' 4", right? 😁 It may just cause them to slow down less. LOL
I looked this up specifically to see if trains actually crossed this bridge lol
You are the best railfanner Xavier Hunter
Thanks!!!
Thanks for the update.

It's still under the 13'6'' for class 5 box trailers. There will still be cans being opened, just not rental trucks anymore.
