Roxas is such a tragic character. I really feel for the guy, and I can't help but feel like Nomura is just making his story sadder and sadder as each game goes by. In a way though, I feel like that's a really good thing: when you consider this game is actually aimed and kids (and not us 20-something year olds who've been waiting since 2002 for a conclusion :p), the life lessons are incredibly important. So while it's good to keep pressing about the strength of a heart and how it's always better to stay on the "light" side of things, devoid of hatred and anger, I think having one character in there who helps you learn about how to deal with grief, pain, and a sense of not belonging is a very good idea in itself.
Olivia McDonagh The original games were aimed at children, but Now they are aiming at the people who grew up with the game. The story is getting sadder, and its getting darker. That's because the fans are getting older and are realizing the world isn't all sunshine and flowers. Sora is an appealing character because he sees the light in everyone before the dark. But even he is starting to realize that the world isn't perfect. Supposedly In kh3 Sora will be much more mature and less carefree.

@@arikatheprincessofhearts2043 wow I don't remember writing this haha. That was 5 years ago. First off, kh3 came out and it made me cry a few times. It wasn't the best game by far in the series though. Second, yes most likely.

well he has to voice ventus and roxas so yeah hes returning for kh3
But his prime as voice actor is with Roxas, Ventus is not as intense as Roxas

Roxas will always be my favorite character his story is just so tragic he'd better return with Xion day 357 was named tears for a VERY GOOD REASON

Namine was just messing around in Sora's memories when she saw all of this depression and self loathing. She must've been like "WTF happened to this poor kid?"

So my friends told me this scene means every main hero who is lost will be saved by Sora and they will be back in KH 3. This means the Sea Salt Trio and the Wayfinder Trio will return. My friends told me this applies to Namine as well and it might be so. But I'm not completely sure. All I know is I will be sad if Namine didn't return in KH 3. My friends are confident she will and they think she deserves a Keyblade just like everyone else does. I like that idea because Namine is awesome. MackshunGamesHD what do you think of this? Is Namine coming back possible?
When it comes to Namine, I'm not sure if she will regain her physical form, as in Kingdom Hearts II, both Roxas and Namine returned to Sora and Kairi(And I'm assuming their bodies...faded away somewhere?). Although, maybe their hearts also reside within Sora and Kairi, as it was revealedc that nobodies had hearts the entire time in DDD.(Correct me if I'm wrong) That being said, Roxas and Namine returning is definitely a likely possibility, but maybe not physically? Maybe they can be Sora and Kairi's consciences? Roxas making a reappearance would certainly be welcomed, as I'd wonder how he would interact with everyone, especially Riku. Aqua, Terra, And Ven are definitely making a return, as the foreshadowing supports it thoroughly.
When it comes to the Sea Salt Trio, Axel has already returned in the form of Lea. I believe he retained Axel's memories.(I wonder if he remembers Ventus...) Xion reappearing is unlikely, although I would love to see her back. She was just a manifestation of Sora's memories of Kairi, right? And also, her existence in tandem with Roxas was a pretty toxic situation. She will probably live on in Sora's heart/memories, but I doubt that she will return. She is my second most respectable female character in the series.
Thanks for the response! I believe I saw a HMK or another video on the subject where they broke down a list pf evidence and seemed convinced all the heroes will come back in KH 3. KH is full of surprises and new plot info comes out every game that changes everything. So it could happen but we won't know till it comes out.
One more thought. Some people say Zack Fair can't be in Kingdom Hearts 3 cause he is dead in the Final Fantasy universe. I laugh at that logic because as we know in FF 7 both Aerith and Sephiroth were dead! And they were in both KH 1 and 2. It all depends on Square Enix, anything could happen. Especially cause the KH and FF universes are different as SE said.
+LordZachael It would be really cool if he was in KH3. After all, he was in BBS, so a reappearance as #1 fighter in the coliseum would be extremely cool. I would also like to see Lightning in the struggle matches(Or the underworld). I believe I saw a render of her somewhere on the internet, and she looks amazing in KH. I'm definitely quite fond of having FF characters in KH. That whole moment in Radiant Garden where they were coming to your aid was awesome!

I love Roxas so much. It's hard to agree with Sora sometimes because he's so blindly positive all the time. It's good to hear Roxas' side too.
When I saw Ventus, Aqua and Terra, I gasped so damn hard.

StickmanSham I just rendered these videos like I normally do. In that case, I suppose the 1080p60 is misleading, yet the game indeed runs 60 fps, so I'll keep it.
The game always has run 30 fps, since its a PS3 game and is locked at 30. The video may render at 60, but it was originally created at 30 by Square
StickmanSham After doing some research, I see what you mean. I suppose the Ps3 wasn't powerful enough to run these games at 60 fps. You'd think that because these cutscenes are pre-rendered that these would be 60fps, but I suppose Square decided to keep the frame rates parallel. Well...
iMackshunGamesHD Some people on PS2 emulators have been able to get internal 60 FPS on many KH games, however.
I've emulated KH before, and honestly, I couldn't see a difference in the smoothness of the gameplay. It does run at 60 fps, but it looks more like it runs at 30 fps, just each frame is rendered twice.

The funny part of all of this? When you look at it, Roxas has a disposition similar to Sora's, then there's that one thing that pisses him off, that sets him apart from Sora and Ven, and then everyone is screwed. :p

yeah, a friend that he redeemed by doing the same thing ended up saving him. thats what he meant by "i may fall in the darkness, but ill carry this with me" and when roxas tells him the darkness will take him, sora again knows that isnt true, that his friends will pull through for him. sora may have fallen for an obvious trap, but he knows what hes doing when it comes to his power.

Taran Neill-St. Clair I'd hopes that Square would, but it just wouldn't fit because all of the worlds in Re: Coded are from KH1 and COM, and Sora was younger in those games.
Yeah but the game takes place after kh2 and jiminy made a journal for that game so why wouldn't the male the game taking place with that journal
Only the original journal was affected by the effects of Castle Oblivion. The KH2 journal was completely fine. The game focuses on the original journal, hence Data Sora being the younger version of him. Basically, you relive the events of KH1. Also, KH2 Sora would probably be too complex for the NDS, if you are referring to his abilities. I'm pretty sure Square plans ahead on these type of things.

Ngoc Anh I believe in this particular instance, she is referring to Sora (The real Sora) since they made a promise just before Sora went to sleep that they would one day find each other and there would be no more lies, and they would be friends for real. Namine is worried it might never come true, but she says "It's a promise".

+Ngoc Anh Definitely to Sora. Her relationship to him in the series is really underrated imo. You don't really get to see it in great detail in the main games, such as KH2 or BBS, but it's great stuff in CoM and in this sequence.

+will davis No, Roxas first entered Sora's body whenever Sora awakened after Namine fixed his memories.(Beginning of KH2) Before he fell asleep, he and Roxas were existing seperately, as you can see in 358/2 Days. Technically, they'd still be able to exist seperately if Namine hadn't tampered with Sora's memories. Re:Coded is simply an visualization of Jiminy's journal, so everything that takes place inside of it isn't to be taken at face value.(More or less) Some of the data hidden in his journal does clarify some information tho.

Just imagine that, at the end of it all, Roxas is the final boss. That fight would be badass
