This is one of the best Video Series that i seen . I would love if it was more often .But please if you need more time for good Quality ,don't rush it.
I really cannot think of any youtube series that I like more than this one. You need to create a larger list of recommended movies. I'd binge watch them all.
Just discovered your out of frame series in the last couple of days, and have been watching them (and just about everything else FEE does that I can get my hands on) and sharing them with everyone that will listen. This series has moved me, sometimes to tears. I love what you do, how you do it, and the gentle touch you put on even the most life-jarringly critical of topics. Thank you so much for your time and effort
I don't often leave comments but this video perfectly encapsulates my love of economics and makes me look at one of my favourite movies in a new light. Keep on making videos like this. You're definitely finding value creation :)
This has been one of the best videos I’ve ever seen in a long time. This video perfectly encapsulates how culture collides with economics and makes it fun, entertaining and educational. If the desire is there, I would love to see this channel upload Out of Frame videos more than once a month. Thank you for this content, it made my night.
As a chef and a restauranteur this movie touched my heart and soul. This beautiful dive in to it is one of the reasons I love the out of frame series. Keep up the excellent work
I’ve taught at the high school and college level and I would love to see more of these videos that I can use to illustrate the value of freedom and capitalism. I particularly love the ones like the Iron Giant vid and Wakanda vid, which do a great job of explaining the connection between ethics and basic economics in terms most folks can understand. More please!!!
While I don't agree with all of your economic ideas, I really appreciate your movie series and wish you only the best! Your work is high quality, informative, and introspective. Thank you for putting the time in, as a writer I understand how hard scriptwriting can be some days much less putting everything together in an animated format.
Chef is a completely underrated movie. I think it’s the best movie that’s come out in the past decade. One of the few films I’ve seen where I felt better about the world after I saw it, and I’ve recommended it to anyone I know.
Talking about value, You my friend create it with every second of every video. We all want more of this. If there is a patreon to make that happen I'm all in.
I saw this movie and loved that it was just a slice of life with no hero or villian or dark overtone. It was just people being people and was wonderfully portrayed by all. Riva (Duston Hoffman) is not a villian, just a normal guy who makes an all too human error in judgement.
I know this is an older video but the situation of Carl being restricted by Riva is actually something we see a lot in Gordan Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmare's tv show. There's been plenty of episodes were the people in the kitchens do have talent and can cook great food but the reason they are turning up crap and are dispassionate is because the owners often have some sort of strict policy in place. Either they are micro managing penny pinchers who are forcing them to use bad products to cut costs or they are stuck in the past and believe "Well people liked it ten years ago so they should still like it now!" completely ignoring that people's taste buds do change over time. Yes managers and owners of restaurants need some boundaries in place to make sure their kitchen staff is doing the best job they can offer but at the same time you need to give them the independence to come up with new and creative ideas for recipes. Not only does it keep the passion for cooking going, it allows your kitchen to adjust the menu based on trends.
One thing about Chef that a lot of people don't notice is that it's an allegory for Favreau's filmmaking. Favreau (obviously) represents himself, Dustin Hoffman represents a Hollywood producer, the changes Hoffman requires him to make represents Iron Man 2, the food critic (obviously) represents film critics, and the food truck can be seen as essentially representing the movie Chef itself.
I live in German and I know a lot of people in the Vietnamese community, they are all trying there best to serve the public, but some really hate the overregulation here. My father's best friend even wants to leave German because of that.
This is one of my all time favorite movies. I wish you could have gone into some deeper analysis of the film. I would love to see more videos. Your’s is my favorite of the different FEE video series. I’m always excited when I see an new Out of Frame.
Keep doing you with these videos, man! If you need more time than usual to create a well constructed video that informs the public in stylish manner, take more time!!
This was brilliant. Can you do something about crony capitalism? What happens when entrepreneurship turns evil? A good film might be the big short. Thanks
I will pretty soon. The Big Short isn't a bad idea. I was thinking about combining 3 movies that all have heroes who go up against big businesses connected to government.
Casting directors bring options to directors and producers, but they don't make any actual decisions. Marvel Studio execs didn't want RDJ at first. Favreau was the one who drove that choice. mentalfloss.com/article/569931/marvel-did-not-want-robert-downey-jr-as-iron-man
Pro chef.... you need to apprentice which take time and don't make much money...if your parent don't own restrant I would recommend prepare for masterchef tv show...
This is great, but one thing that's popping on my mind recently is intellectual property rights. Is software private property to be protected by government (through copyright), or is piracy just sharing of information as protected by freedom of speech?
I think the biggest problem in the world today is the denial that many of these individuals that own and run their own businesses have earned or deserve the wealth they acquire. True, some inherit wealth from their parents, but even then they still have to work to add to it or else they won’t stay wealthy. Honestly though, I laugh at how so many people complain business owners are greedy and just want money when they often complain that they should get the wealth themselves.
You made me cry 😭😭😭 I live in Bolivia and is one of the toughtest country for enteprenourship. In my city La Paz 6 of 10 start ups get broke before 6 months (and we are the city with most start ups) but the crazy bureocracy make it so long (over 6 months) and expensive to even start. Adding the previous socialist gov control everything and there were none start up triving on that time(and a lot of corruption and nepotism in big companies) Since highschool I sell food to my classmates (that's why I cried- cuz I study gastronomy and for a while I was in charge of a small kitchen and boy I was Casper 😭...I quit due that and sexual harassment LOL) and many times I tried to sell goods, I experiment, people like what I cook or bake but....I could never really start. I hope that the new administration is more open to a free economy (Bolivia debts are crazy high -we were this close to become Venezuela -we NEED that) so yeah...I have hope someday I can have my little coffee shop :) Ps. His assistent was actually the sous chef... XoXo
Alas, not enough engagement or views to keep it going. Plus it was a big cost in staff time for not enough return. As related to this video: the market spoke.

What an amazing compliment. Thank you!
The content at FEE is highly underrated, and deserves more attention.
I watched it a few years ago. A really well-made film which great characters and incredibly enjoyable. The only problem is it made me REALLY hungry.
This series has been a real inspiration for me, and has given me many ideas for a story I am trying to create. Thank you ☺
Awesome!

Yes! More shows.
Love your series its informative, educational, and entertaining. It also got me interested in the rest of the FEE content on youtube.
I love out of frame, I'll watch every single one of them unless you make two a day then i couldn't due to time constraints.

I'm very happy with the current production rate. If you want to produce more often, then that's fine, as long as you keep producing. :)
