Tips For Sharing the RoadWhen Behind Plow(s)
1. Don’t accelerate toward the plows. Rather, ease off the accelerator and adopt the same speed as the plow(s)
2. Maintain a very healthy following distance so that you can react if the plow(s) suddenly start braking (it may be impossible to recognize their brake lights)
3. It’s always safer to follow a plow than to pass it in a lane that has adverse surface conditions
