Also RIP to the 168 people who lost their lives in the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. I remember I was going shopping that day with my friend and her mom and I heard about the bombing on the radio (in Illinois) but didn't realize the extent of how bad it was until I saw the news later in the day. It remains the deadliest attack of domestic terrorism in the U.S. and is second to 9/11 in scope.
I was leaving for work, about 10 miles away and I thought the roof blew off the building I was in! I found out what happened when I stopped for coffee at 7-11 and everybody was standing around watching the TV behind the counter.
I grew up a pink floyd led zeppelin kinda guy. Whenever I took my mom somewhere we always listened to dean Martin. On one of her dr trips she, out of the blue, says you like his singing. It wasn't a question. I sheepishly admitted it. I loved his singing and his movies.
Bobby DeBarge, lead singer in R&B group Switch died August 16 1995 at age 39 of AIDS complications. Singer Phyllis Hyman died June 30, 1995 at age 45. Actor Hugh O'Connor, best known as Lonnie Jamison on the TV series n the Heat of the Night, and son of Carroll O' Connor died March 28, 1995 at age 32.
Sergei Grinkov a Russian pairs skater died in November of that year...heart attack at 28. That was heartbreaking. He had a beautiful wife and a two year old daughter.
@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hcI know even though art Fleming hasn't hosted Jeopardy for 14 years at the the time of his pancreatic cancer death in 1995 Alex Trebek still hosting Jeopardy at the time of his pancreatic cancer death in 2020
Kenny Everett, British comedian, TV and radio personality, died April 4, 1995 of AIDS complications at the age of 50. He was also the first DJ to play Bohemian Rhapsody on the radio.
Years ago, PBS did a weekly, Saturday showing of "Joy of Painting" which I seldom missed. But, within a few minutes, I was sound asleep on my living room floor. I never slept so well.
*Jeremy Brett* - September 12, 1995. He played Freddy in "My Fair Lady" and became the quintessential Sherlock Holmes with his portrayal of the world's greatest consulting detective in the Granada TV series from 1984 through 1994.
He was the iconic James Bond villain Ernst Blofeld in Sean Connery’s You Only Live Twice in 1967 and first actor to portray Blofeld showing his face when previously the character was shown from behind.
she was ok, Barbara Eden was more than pretty she was gorgeous. Eden was a stage name her birth name was Morehead. however Liz Montgomery was her birth name. Barbara was actually a coupla years older (still with us too).
You left out Jimmy Campbell who worked for over 30 years with my beloved Detroit Tigers. He coined the term "Season Of Tragedy" describing my first year (1966) as Tigers fan losing two managers TO DEATH! (Charlie Dressen died at 70 from kidney failure after suffering a massive stroke and Bob Swift (52) died from throat cancer.)
Ed Flanders was one of my favorite actors. What a sad photograph of him. Too young to die, but I understand it after reading this summary from Wikipedia: "After three divorces, chronic pain from a back injury sustained in an automobile crash in 1989, and a lifelong battle with depression, Flanders died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on February 22, 1995, in Denny, California at the age of 60. No suicide note was found, and his remains were cremated." I hope you found joy and comfort beyond this life, Ed. You were a good man.
You didn't include Gale Gordon's long and distinguished career in radio, especially on "Fibber McGee and Molly" and "Our Miss Brooks". You also didn't include Phil Harris' career in radio, especially on "The Jack Benny Program" and "The Phil Harris/Alice Faye Show".
Rip Alexander Godunov who played Karl one of antagonists along with Alan Rickman as the iconic main villain Hans Gruber in the 1988 classic Die Hard and he appeared in Harrison Fords Witness in 1985. Rip also to Donald Pleasence who played one of the best Ernst Blofelds in the Sean Connery James Bond film You Only live Twice in 1967.
Watching these it seems that being in my mid 50's, im right in the age range of many people that are being remembered. It is very uneasy realizing this fact.
Eva Gabor was the nicest and most beautiful of the Gabor clan. She was brilliant on Green Acres and Eddie Albert gave her high praise and they were lifelong friends. Albert who lived to 99 sadly outlived his son and was brokenhearted when Eva died from pneumonia.
good to see Sterling Morrison listed. Underrated musician , who was also a scholar, deeper and more grounded than the typical rocker. When a friend asked hm about his cancer, he replied "'leaves in the fall".
Quando tempo fa ho scoperto della scomparsa di Elizabeth Montgomery sono rimasto veramente addolorato. Una bellezza indescrivibile e di una classe sopraffina. Unica. Maestosa. Splendida ma semplice.😰😢😓
These things really make one realize, so many already gone for so long. And that our window of time comes and goes quickly. I mean 95, already 28 years ago. We already partied like it's 1999 a long time ago. Sheesh.

Hugh O'Connor died on March 28, 1995. His cause of death was suicide; he shot himself with a gun. He starred in The Heat of the Night and the movie Brass. His father was Carroll O'Connor.
I first saw Doug McClure in the movie Shenandoah with Jimmy Stewart. I was 9 years old at the time and I just thought he was so cute. Had the biggest crush on him
R.I.P Selena Quinntanilla Perez you may be gone physically but you and your beautiful music will live forever my condolences to Selena’s family and shame on Yolanda Saldivar may she remain in jail and rot in hell

Interesting how the one woman responsible for getting prayer out of school was kidnapped & murdered. Perhaps prayer in school could have prevented her demise.
Are you happy with your stupid comment? You should be glad she fought for separation of church and state, because what if a Muslim or god forbid a satanist was allowed to lead the prayers?
You all forgot about John Newland who hosted One Step Beyond which came on the air on tv about a few months in 1959 before The Twilight Zone. It's very important that everyone go see their doctors at least 4 times a year, in that way maybe the doctor's can catch a growing disease in it's early stages. It's very unfortunate that Elizabeth Montgomery(one of my all-time favorite actress) colorectal cancer wasn't diagnosed early. I'm 68 going on 69 in July, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer very early in 2005 and I got treatment that I am now cancer free for 18 years. Too many people have died from diseases that if caught early(most of them) could have saved their lives. Rest In Peace to Elizabeth Montgomery, John Newland and everybody who died in 1995.
Bob Ross is a standout among celebrities. He never cared about being rich, he just wanted to show the world the joy of painting.
Hard to believe that he was a bad ass Drill Instructor before
Loved watching Bob paint.
"Happy little tree."
Bob Ross was so much fun to watch what he would create
Bob Ross was to watch. He has a kindness about him.

Sad how Dean Martin passed away on Christmas. I was born in 1995 and the fact that he died on my first Christmas is insane.
Millions of people died on that day around the world. Why is that insane.
Don't make it about you.
Dean's mother died 29 years before him on Christmas day.

There was a show on PBS that did James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small" episodes. They were English actors, and I always enjoyed them.
Donald Pleasence served in the RAF in WWII and was a POW who went on to play a POW in "The Great Escape".
At the end of his acting career, Donald Pleasance was reduced to starring in the Halloween horror sequels.
He was the iconic James Bond villain Ernst Blofeld in Sean Connery’s You Only Live Twice in 1967 and first actor to portray Blofeld showing his face when previously the character was shown from behind.
