2024 Alberta Black Bear - Bowhunting Bear in Canada

I head to north-eastern Alberta with Dean Schlekewy from Reconeco Outdoor cellular trail cameras to chase black bear! This is my first spring black bear hunt and although the weather set us back a day or two we were able to capitalize on a BIG boar at 20 yards.
I chose to bow hunt with my Hoyt RX-8 Ultra and Ozcut 125 grain Elite Broadheads.

We did, he was 270 pounds right after hibernating (they had a cold and snow front the day I landed in AB) so would have been much heavier in a few weeks! Hide was 7' square and 18 14/16" skull.
