💦 Hydraulic Performance of HAURATON Gratings | The Rain Test 💦

This video shows the enourmous hydraulic performance of HAURATON gratings in relation to different rain events in the world.
How much does it really rain in the world?
Rainfall intensity is classified according to the rate of precipitation:
► Light rain - less than 2.5 mm/hour
► Moderate rain - between 2.5 mm/hour and 7.6 mm/hour
► Heavy rain - more than 7.6 mm/hour
► Violent rain - more than 50 mm/hour
We tested the gratings in these four rain scenarios.
HAURATON uses realistic values between 30 and 60 mm/hour for hydraulic calculations. The HAURATON Hydraulic Test Centre is located in Budapest, Hungary.
Water flows over the outer edge of the grating into the channel. That's why the width of the grating only has a minor influence on the hydraulic performance.
