amazing information regarding renko charts. thanks a lot for bringing such valuable info to us. You mentioned Japanese's people were using half of the 9 period average as a brick size. i think the reason behind this is when a renko brick is formed lets say Positive brick. for next brick to form lets say negative brick...the price has to move down by exact 9 period average ( not the half), this gives them an edge as compared to using full average value as a brick size to limit the loss. Also by using half the average value whenever prices are moving up they can use it as trailing SL. what an amazing technique.

Try two Supertrends simultaneously - 10/1.6 and 10/0.8 as settings. Works best on 5 min timeframe. Take trades only when both Supertrends generate signals in the same direction 👍

My one question is that suppose we have defined time frame to trade in this system as 30 minutes then you have said that after every 7 period the brick size has to be calibrated. In our case does this seven period mean after every two and half an hour? Please clarify.

Below are my concerns after trying the Renko chart pattern :- 1) Can apply Renko trading strategy into Futures trading? 2) I realised that after the confirmed green/red brick there will have 1 or more light green/red bricks followed through. May I know what does these light green/red bricks indicates and what should be the next steps? 3) I am from Malaysia and mostly trading the stocks under the KLSE exchange. When come to the brick size setting for a related stocks the final brick size number can be as below 2 examples :- a) Box size method --> ATR 14 --> 0.25 Box size method --> Traditional --> 0.25/2 = 0.125 b) Box size method --> ATR 14 --> 0.05 Box size method --> Traditional --> 0.05/2 = 0.025 With the above box size, is it too small for Renko chart to perform its high probability winning trades? Amazing series. Loved the way you explained everything. I just have a small query. You mentioned that we should ignore the candle in formation. Is it true for Stop Loss as well ? What I mean is if my brick size is 10 and I entered long in Nifty at say, 16130. Obviously , my SL will 16110. If candle in formation touches 16110 briefly, should I exit or should I wait for candle to complete ?
Wait for candle completion if you are positional trader, where SL is on closing basis. Keep 1 brick lower as SL on Intraday basis, if you are day trader.

if you take half of ATR, mostly there would be 2 candles formed at every daily close.
can we use bricks size 2% 1% 0.5% 0.25% of prizes
