They're all so good. The mechanist has me most excited as engineer was my first character and even with all the janky bugs, it's endearing. I miss when Gyros we're entities that actually followed you around! Spectre gaining access to the first new single Ally targeting mechanic is HUGE for the game. I suspect it'll open up new avenues of content design especially when in the future they go back and add this mechanic to other classes, like they did with barrier and alacrity. Rangers getting more control over their pets is awesome and I'm all for it. I do wish that both ranger and Holo got interaction with heat and unleashed mechanics on their other weapons though, even if it was just a change to skill 5 or auto attack or something.
@@MasterOfNoneGaming as am I. I'm really glad that explosives and static discharge interact with the mech, using the mech as the point of origin. I hope they expand the list of traits from vanilla engi that do this.
Untamed. All 3 looks good and seemingly plays well but Untamed is the one for me.. Sure, soulbeast will be better dps at pve but at pvp? Ooh boy.. Untamed I feel like will be an absolute monster in mid nodes conquest! Btw.. Untamed pets > Mech Pet. I feel like Mechanist's golem has hype because it's new whereas ranger pets has been a thing since the beginning.. The fact that Untamed allows for more pet control is a huge plus!
I'm often play dungeons with a friend while we remain only as a duo. For duing dungeons, the specter gets me hyped as frick:D also for pvp the specter seems so amazing as i love to play support!
I really hope they make it so the tool kit can also heal the mech. That would be really cool and potentially open up more reasons to take the kit, especially with how it plays with mace and shield.
i really hope they implement ally targeting in more skills, i think it would work well in druid staff first two skills. it might make healing druid a bit more relevant outside or 10 men content. ty for the video its a good, short and sweet tldr of the stream 🖤
As a Necro main, I am super siked to have a reason to play a Thief. I love Damage and Support characters. Brings me back to my Shadow Priest days. Looking forward to it more than I thought I would.
Specter keybind "target ally" and "target enemy/next enemy" -> 2v2 Arenas will be good with Thief healer ... Thief will be tuned as Single Target Healer for 5v5 so it will be over tuned for 2v2 ;) I don't know about 3V3 but we will see.
I feel like some people are sleeping on Untamed. Sure it's a selfish class (doesn't matter bcus there's Druid) it looks like a really powerful elite spec.
I'm not super interested in it for PvE since you probably just stay in the unleashed state almost all the time but I think it could be really cool for PvP.
As soon as I saw they got rid of the tool belt for the mechanist I lost interest. So now as an engineer you get locked out of kits? So, less weapon choice to the most restricted class?
They gotta add more condis to mace for mechanist, i mean confusion alone isn't enough. Burning and confusion would be nice. Also would be nice is mace skills affected the mech in some way, like if auto attack chain 3 gives a stacking buff to mech damage by like 2% up to 5 or 20 stacks etc. Mace skill 3 seems lackluster, it should also affect the mech, like if used then it gives the mech a buff that allows its next attack to deal 10% more damage and apply burning as well. Skill 2 which is the gap closer can also give the mech protection and regen maybe. I know it sounds OP the more I want, but mace skills seem like its not even part of the spec.
So in summary:the Mech is terrible in every way and "the Super cool look" is subjective. I personally don't like the look. Main hand mace is only thing I liked. The Ranger, on the other hand, very nice.
@@MasterOfNoneGaming I play pet classes mainly, the AI is almost always bad with pets in MMOs, so I wouldn't expect anything different in this game and it's not a big deal or a surprise. The worst part is, it's not a permanent pet. Having a cooldown or timer ruins the flavor imo. I mean it's a mechanist, I would rather have a permanent mech or a huge mech suit with a timer.
The mech is just as permanent as a ranger pet ..not sure why you thought they had a timer that is never mentioned. Also you don't like it because of pet A.I. but then go on so say ranger looks nice and they both have the exact same A.I. If you don't like the mechanist that's cool not every flavor is for everyone but your reasoning makes very little sense.
Which spec are you most excited about? Or is there anything you really dislike at first glance?

Im a Main Engineer and i gotta say.... im really happy with this. Cant wait to try my Charr Golemancer and run around with my new best friend
I hope it plays well! Really reminds me of Gaige from Borderlands 2, which I loved to play.

It's ok to be selfish. I mean Ranger has Druid, right? idk. I mean if you're bringing the pain in the form of dps, then yeah let's go.
@@MasterOfNoneGaming exactly. i can see it being really really good in mid nodes in conquest and WvW... who knows.

Yeah I can understand how that can be something engineer mains will not be happy about.
Weapon Kits were never bound to the Toolkit. You can still use them, you just lose their Toolkit skills like the F1 Heal from Medkit.
@@Bladrio that takes out a big part of all your kits utilities without it.
@@Iserate depends on the kit. Most engines could care less about flamethrower tool belt for example
I feel the same, would be cool if Mechanists get in combat weaponswap because of this 🥰

Gosh, they have that many steampunk-like mehanoid models in game and for meh-companion they choosen this - style of a magic golem, really?
Meh...

Anything specific that you don't like about the mech or just not a fan of AI?
