excellent demo thanks for sharing - the entire recording ideas is such fun - thinking of order a Polybrute, match it with my Analog Rytm MK2 and Logic and there the creative process beings - endless fun! Then Polybrute is off the scale, and this/your video confirms what I had thought the recording workflow would be - thanks sir!
It’s great that you can turn down the LEDs now. I know how annoying those blue LEDs can be. I have my PolyBrute 6 coming tomorrow. Btw very nice studio vibe there. Seems like a comfortable and ergonomic space.
Imho the distortion effects make this a new synth. They should have been there from the beginning, maybe even as a separate knob. But better now than never :) Finally we get closer to those classic moog sounds, 808 style basses like the one in the video and so on. Good job, Arturia!
I truly rediscovered the Polybrute with this new update. Finally now Connect seems to work as it should, always had problems with it. And the distortions are really nice. Thanks for making these video’s Jeff. Just as you, I love the brute and the maschine together. Paired with a s61 mk2 and a jam… a lovely and fun ecosystem, best I have experienced. Which hw synths do you think would complement the Brute well? Was considering the Hydrasynth, but maybe I’ll save up some cash and go for a Nina (from Melbourne Instruments), one of these days…
I love your vids and 1 thing I have not seen you cover is how to get expansion images to show up again if you transfer computers. It looks like I have to re-download all the expansions again for a simple .png not showing up as the cover art. NI has nothing on their site that works for this.
Up until my recent issues with the KeyLab 61 MK3, Arturia hits a home run on almost everything they put out. The updates that they give with the Microfreak is insane. The Keystep-37 has no equal. The keys, the build, after-touch (which they didn't even need to do), CV-Gate/Clock, USB and 5-Pin MIDI.....ridiculous riches. *Pigments* .....outstanding. Again the upgrades they give is to the point where you go alright already. I own 5 pieces of Arturia Gear and at this point, enough software to cause a divorce consideration lol. KeyLab MK3....not good. replaced because the screen went bad on the first one and after the recent update it doesn't integrate with Ableton anymore. MK2...no issues. MK3...nightmare. It's not even connected in my studio anymore. I owned it for less than 2 months
I was having the same issue with the LED brightness, literally couldn’t see the text next to it. Such a minor but important quality of life instrument.
Its a control editor. Not an actual synth engine vst. Cool that you made content on this. I was considering getting this before i just built my first euro fx rack.
Hey there Jef! I need your help on Maschine on on the Mac and a larger screen like yours. When I open Maschine, it’s all very pixelated and low definition on my LG C2 42” 4K, not like yours. Do I need to change the resolution to match Maschine’s? If so, what’s the best resolution for that? I have some idea of you referring this issue on a previous video, but I can’t find it now, although I searched a lot for it… If you or anyone else can give me a little help… appreciate!! Greetings from Portugal!!
Hey Jef, great video. On a different note, the Maschine hack to record and play back from a Cubase track is kind of broken now. It still works but when you are initially playing stuff into the track it sounds doubled, like MIDI feedback. I tweaked every setting I thought of and nothing changed it :(
It is a great synth and the "per voice modeling" they did in 2.0 really added to it. Poly unison in this update is great news along with all the other refinements. However, no update will add the missing second outs for layer patches or give the morphee dedicated mod sources instead of sharing them. In the back of my head I also wonder if given full decision authority (maybe he was?) Glen Darcey might not have gone with a SEM for this and Matrixbrute instead of Steiner Parker filter? (He did the initial design on Microfreak before leaving and that is what it uses) Despite anything Yves Usson might feel I personally think that would have been a better choice. I also think a 2140 would have been preferable to transistor ladder for a polysynth, but none of that matters now and this is still a great synth in any case.
nice I forgot about updates and you came along in my feed. Thanks man
9:30 this really kicks butt. Recording that modulation
Man! you're really making that new FW sound amazing 🙌🏻
Phenomenal Piece Of Gear ⚙️
That final track has a kinda abstract West-coast vibe... I'm loving it!
Thanks RC!!

Did you say free? No subscription? What is this 2010 or something?
😆

You are so awesome dude!
Hi Jef,
Love your videos, thanks!
Off-topic question please:
What camera and lens do you use to shoot your videos?
Thanks!

Sorry to hear that!

Yes!! I love that these guys listen to small (but important) complaints like this!
Still having issues with polybrute connect on in pro tools being unstable and wont communicate with the synth. really unfortunate.
Shoot, works perfectly in Maschine and Cubase on Mac…

05:53 - man, those chords are heavy AF... 🦾🦾🦾
Thanks!!
Jef, do you suppose they are working on the next iteration of poly brute hardware?
Jef rulez
One day, one day..
Why polybrute still isn't a VST? 😢
$
It has a bunch of analog parts…

I have a video on the tv in the description, see if that helps!
