I’m currently going about making my own Hazezon deck. Really love how this guy is unique in the way he cares about deserts and he is a Crucible of The World (for deserts). Is he the best Landfall Commander, no, but that doesn’t make him a slouch either. I look forward to playing this guy at my tables. Hopefully they print more Desert lands and support for him.
I definitely see your stance here, but I really feel like this is just a decent Naya deck, where you could swap Hazezon and the deserts out for any other commander and it would perform the same. Hope to see some more support for this though, it's really unique!
I definitely see that point but this is probably the only Naya commander that can play lands from the graveyard really effectively and that opens up the door for cards like goblin trenches and titania so there is a decent amount of uniqueness this guy can add in my opinion. Could use some more redundancy. Crop Rotation and Hour of Promise are very nice for getting specific lands. Since you'll likely have 3 deserts you'll even get a couple extra bodies off of Hour of Promise. Ulvenwald Hydra is another great option for getting specific lands. Harvest Season is a great ramp option in a go wide deck. It'll be particularly good here as Jaheira and Crytolith Rite will let you tap down all your tokens for mana. Ramunap Excavator and Ancient Greenwarden will also let you play lands from the yard. Greenwarden is more expensive but has the upside of doubling up any land etb effects. Would also recommend Turntimber Sower in addition to Titania protector of Argoth. Lets you sac creatures to get lands back from the yard and makes plant tokens whenever a land goes into your graveyard. Also synergizes with Avenger of Zendikar. Awaken the Woods is a great ramp spell. It's going to be downright silly in this deck since it'll trigger landfall, creature etb, get doubled with Anointed Procession/Parellel Lives, AND count as lands when they hit the yard. See also Staff of Titania as it'll give whoever has it equipped a modest buff AND makes Dryad Arbors on attack. Also Dryad Arbor. Would recommend Mana Reflections/ Nyxbloom Ancient over Mirari's Wake. An anthem and +1 mana when you tap a land is good, but double/triple when you tap ANYTHING that makes mana is BETTER. Could run Dryad of the Ilysian Grove/ Prismatic Omen and Valakut the Molten Pinnacle as a backup wincon. 3 damage adds up VERY quickly in any landfall type deck. Bloodspore Thrinax could be another good use for all the tokens you'll be making. Devour a few of the tokens and everything after will come in THAT much bigger. Consider running snow lands. Sunstone and Glacial Crevasses make great backups for Constant Mists. Gaea's Touch can get you an extra land drop, though it is limited to basic forests. Just play the forest last. On that note Abundance is a great enchantment that can let you filter for lands if you need them... or nonlands if you don't.
@@decktechsfordecks Shivan Harvest would be another good add. Excellent way to remove problematic lands in a token deck. Also got to mention Circle of Dreams Druid, Itlimoc on a body.
So out of the 16 I’m running in the deck only 3 enter in tapped but to your point they mostly tap for generic mana so that can make color fixing an issue at time. I’m glad you enjoyed the deck tech :)

Those are some solid suggestions good point on mana reflections definitely get more bang for your buck there!

I almost included circle of dream Druid but the triple green pipe turned me off it still might be worth an include but would require play testing :)

I have a hazazon deck! Mostly made it land fall as your video is essentially my Jennie Fay deck haha

Our pod is pretty high power, so many deserts come in tapped so I just don't think that would work for me. Neat deck though.
