And that cloud thing was basically a rip from Transformers Unicron which is very similar to that cloud.
1: I love how he doesn't say a single word in Avengers EMH. You can take that as either him seeing them as inferior to him or him just trying to spare himself the pain of again eating a planet with sentient life; yes that is something he's often written as being sad about having to do.
And 2: While people; myself too, were upset about his look in Fantastic Four 2 (Especially when you get the shape of his helmet on Saturn), you got to remember that Galactus is just pure energy inside of his suit (Despite what you see of his very human-like face). Really all the film did was turn his ship into his container. The only problem is that this was the first ever film version of Galactus. And this really isn't the first time Galactus was a non-humanoid entity, Ultimate Marvel and The Mangaverse.
Plus there was one comic that said Galactus' look varies depending on the inhabitants of the planet he's about to eat
Galactus is a being of pure energy and consumes planets.
Not one of the superheroes on earth is a match for him…

Usually i always thought Galactus was unbeatable, But there ways to beat him, Be his herald, Be as powerful as Thanos or Dr. Doom as God Emperor Doom, Be a Spirit of Vengeance to use Penance Stare against him, Send him to the void, Use Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity Sword combined and more...
or have the power of the phoenix force, chaos magic, even the M'kraan Crystal

This is why he's called The Great Galactus.
I absolutely hate how they write Galactus. The Avengers beating him is a joke. He could kill them all with just a thought. The only real way to stop Galactus from eating your world is to become his Herald. This entire video is both lazy writing and the writers not understanding how powerful Galactus is.
The Avengers did not beat Galactus, just send him away. And being Galactus herald isn't the only way to beat him.
Galactus is powerful and very difficult to beat, But it doesn't mean it's impossible. If Squirrel Girl can easily beat Thanos without a problem then so can few of the characters against Galactus.
