- Going to Alaska is going to be a fun and exciting adventure and even though I will be gone for a couple of weeks at time I will still continue to work on the Log Cabin as much as possible. This was just an opportunity that I didn't want to pass up.

About Me.
In 2018 I decided to stop working for someone else full time and pursue my dream of building my log home and starting a small farm in the Ozark mountains. It's a dream that I have had and have been working towards for over 20 years, and due to life changes and unexpected events, I decided to make a leap of faith. This journey will not be without its challenges and setbacks, but I will continue to push forward each and every day to make this dream a reality. I try to upload videos 3 days a week but working mostly alone I am always pressed for time.

Looking good. Congratulations on the job opportunity! Just keep on doing what you’re doing, love being on this journey with you! Yikes, sounds like a pretty big n very hungry bobcat. Hope you get him!
Thank you. The bobcat is a pretty big one.
Oh wow I hope your job goes well 🙏
It looks amazing ❣️ the tounge & grove slow but it's beautiful..
Be safe up there, try to stay warm. We will be praying for you, April and the kids.
Superb work on those walls. Crazy craftsmanship on the edges with the logs. Excited to see your adventures in Alaska. I have been retired almost four years. I do miss that paycheck but I really enjoy being able to do my own work at my place. Thanks for sharing.
I retired 3 years ago and I feel the same way as you. This thing was just offered to me and it would have been foolish to turn it down right now. Im not going to do it forever.
🇳🇱👍👍👍👍👍good morning i wish you a lot of success in alaska and i hope you like it the house looks good already starks a good stove and the windows and doors in it and greetings from Roosendaal Netherlands and see you in the next video.

I would think that bobcat has babbies somewhere. sixty chicks raise my suppressions. Congratulations on the new job. There's bears in them their woods. Keep warm and stay safe.
Enjoy Alaska. Meanwhile, the house is coming along well and it is going to be so beautiful.
Ditto
Is coming along great, Your work is wonderful, you have a great time and be safe
Take us with you we enjoy your videos..
The infusion of income will be a blessing. So I suspect that your plans about moving in by Christmas will be delayed. What we don't know is really how far ahead of the home build you are at now. Which is okay. You film and work at your schedule the way you see fit. I am grateful for whatever you have to offer. I am glad for your new adventure. I can see me visiting (in the summer months) but extreme cold is not my idea of fun for any extended periods of time. I am a southern man.
Great news about the opportunity! House is looking great .
Good morning from Belleville Ontario Canada. Good luck in Alaska. Can't wait to see more log house projects. Maybe you can do a video of what you are doing in Alaska.
I’m going to try and film some in Alaska if I can.
Gday mate things are looking really good I have been watching you since you first began you and your wife should be so proud of your selves I hope things work out with the Alaskan job cheers and god bless from down under (Australia)
Film some of Alaska too!!!
Take it man any work in Alaska is good money I have a feeling it’s in the natural resources industry...also if the job is what you specialize in you would crazy to let it pass...Alaska is an amazing place to experience my friend...best wishes man enjoy your time you have their and good luck with the job...I personally worked on off shore oil rigs in Australia for 15 years as a welder and rigger the three months on three off...it was an amazing experience that was very well paid but now I work inland having a small family and all but I sure do miss it and three months away from the family is too long...
Your in my prays for your new job the cabin is looking amazing I'm sure your family will miss you but we all do what is need God Bless you and your family.
That is cool
Wood work looks excellent but will look even better when stained and finished. Whew, that's a lot of work! Good luck with your work in Alaska, if you can video some wildlife while there, please do so. April, and the girls will have a lot on their plate with all the animals but I am sure that they can handle it! Hope you get that bobcat before you go! Keep us up to date... ...farm, animals, your new job along with April and the girls(maybe working the farm)?!
I almost thought you would never finish that big house, but you are. Good job.
Looking really good
Do what you have to do for your family. April is quite capable. The home is coming together quite nicely. Take care from the UK x
bonne chance pour le travail en alaska et bien vite a bientot
So much hard work. It's looking amazing.
You can make videos in Alaska and post them when your home. I’m sure a lot of subscribers would enjoy them, that’s if you have time. Yes you seem to be slow in some of your work. I guess that’s why the chinking and the the fit of the t/g boards around the logs look so perfect. That is the best looking chinking job I’ve ever seen. It looks like a painting.
Be careful in Alaska, keep up with the news, cause biden might give it (Alaska) to the Chinese and they will not let you come back.
You said this was the biggest bobcat you have ever seen, well 60 chickens should make a good size 🐈. Stay safe my friend
I’m going to try and film some even if it’s a short just to say in contact with everyone.
You probably have a case of mice, rats, chipmunks and squirrels too stealing food. Sixty chicken....no wonder the Bobcat is huge!
hip ones,
Bobcat! My son killed the one on his property and it rests on the fireplace mantle. Good fortune with that.
The walls look fabulous. Keep up the great work! Good luck on your job in Alaska. Better pack the long-handles, so you don’t freeze your fanny off. 😂 So sorry about your chickens. I hope you catch that bobcat soon. Be safe & stay healthy.
Blessings, Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇺🇸👍❤️🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I hope you can get the house dried in before you go! Rain is coming. Makes sense to dry the house in and you can keep the materials inside then!
Thanks for the update. Live goes on, I am happy you got the opportunity to make some cash and see some new country. Best of luck to you on the new job. We will be here anticipating your future video's. Let us know what happens with the cat. Thanks again for sharing.
Congrats on the new job! Good luck with the bobcat!
The cabin is looking great! It's going to be so beautiful. Congratulations on the Alaska job. I'm sure the cash infusion will come in handy for you. Hope you get the bob cat soon.
Looks like the place is coming to gather nice job 👍
Great progress thanks for sharing
Perfection as always, great job on the t and g good luck in Alaska don't forget to pack your thermals 🤣🤣🇬🇧
Just a tip you can cut the bottom backside of the groove off the tongue and groove board so you you can fit really tight.at the top .
It's really starting to look like a house! The walls pull it all together. You have accomplished so much in a short while. Wishing you the best on your new job. April and the girls will keep the home fires burning I'm sure!
Yeah it certainly is! I started watching right when the roof was put on.... so much progress since then. I really like this channel. I just wish we could see a bit more of the day to day stuff. He deserves way more subs and views. Then he wouldn't have to go to Alaska haha. But Alaska is beautiful from what I hear and see. He's getting a change of scenery
Stay safe in Alaska. Will be looking forward to your return.
Very nice video
Hope April and the girls can maintain the homestead while you are away.
They shouldn’t have any problem
I love the Cabin, has to be the biggest log cabin on the internet. Good luck with the job in Alaska
Thank you.
Wish you all the best in alaska.
Set a trap for the bobcat. Sorry to hear about the chickens.
All the best.
Congratulations on the job, (Kansas)
Thank you
Great video! Those corners look amazing & well worth the time spent. The house still looks spacious, even with the beautiful tongue & groove walls installed - NICE. Hope you catch the predator soon...60 chiks, ouch! Hope we get to see a little bit of Alaska while you're up there. Wishing you continued successes, safe travels & working environments always. You have an interesting life for sure!
Ever have a bucket flip over while you were standing on it? Painful!
Alaska 😲
Yep
...good job, keep safe and have a great week...
Damn! If not hawks then bobcats!! Some footage of Alaska would be nice. However I know long hours will prob be part of the job.
That’s the catch. It’s always long hours with jobs like that
Hope you love your new job in Alaska!! I’ve always wanted to live there. Beautiful country. Safe travels. Hope you catch the bobcat.

House is looking awesome my friend! Hope everything goes well for you in Alaska, sounds like a great opportunity for you. Keep up the good work! P.S. Hope you get that bobcat!
How very exciting!!! I'm sure April and the girls will be fine, they might even put out a video of them taking care of the homestead and you might show us something of Alaska. Good luck to you. I'm guessing you are working in the oil business. Take care

Congratulations on your job, but I worry about your Cabin. You have made a lot of progress with your walls. Looks so nice. Your scribing is awesome, you do perfect work. Wow, so sorry he has taken out too many of your chickens! That is bad. All the best to you, I do enjoy watching your progress.
I’m impressed with how it’s coming along. Looking fabulous.👍👍
Good morning Stephen
I hope by the time this came out you have “solved” the predator problem. Oh boy Alaska!!! So exciting!!! I’ve never been, but I would love to go. Looks so beautiful.
I’m still working on it. Lol
The house is looking AWESOME. You under value the achievemnts you make. ALL progress is still good progress. Good luck on your job and I'll still be here when you post. You need to grab the good things life throws at you because you can never dodge the bad ones. Stay safe
Looking super good. Enjoy your new job opportunity!
Thank you
The tongue and groove looks terrific. I appreciate the care you have taken fitting it to the logs. Alaska! Sounds like a great opportunity for you.
Good luck with your job in Alaska and your cabin looks great
Stay safe and have fun in Alaska. The house is coming along nicely and I love all the tongue & groove interior work. Hopefully you will get to do some hunting while in Alaska. Bear hunting on Kodiak Island in on my bucket list!!!

Really enjoyed the update! Good luck with your new job! Hope you don’t freeze up in Alaska😢🌨🌨
Thank you. The cold doesn’t bother me all that much. Lol
Cabin is coming along and looks good. Congrats on the Alaska job. (JF)
Thank you
It is looking so awesome. 😉
Your house is looking SO GOOD. The T & G meeting logs is spot-on perfect. Good, you'll be in Alaska when the mosquitoes are dormant. Video Alaska scenery. Do Bobcats attack goats?
They will if they get a chance. It’s a good thing we have a big dog in there with them
Enjoy Alaska! Be safe and warm. The cabin looks fantastic, I love the tongue and groove. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.
Looking beautiful! An amazing process, thank you for sharing the hard work, fulfilling dream.

Good luck in Alaska!
The cabin is looking fantastic, brings back lot's of memories. Congratulations on the job in Alaska, enjoy it, work just not too hard and stay safe, be careful, take it easy and keep dry and warm. I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Just stumbled across your videos. Awesome build! Enjoy Alaska! I’ve been going up there a couple times a year since 2014 working on snow removal equipment. My longest stent up there so far is 8 months. Every time I go it gets harder and harder to come back home to Arkansas/sw Missouri. Make sure to make some time to get out and explore while you’re there. Not sure what part you are headed to but it’s all beautiful up there.
Alaska is a beautiful place for sure. Where I was working you can’t explore much. I was in Prudhoe Bay .
What’s the plan on doors and windows? Glad you’re making so much progress. Good luck in the north land. Thanks for sharing.
no windows. That way April & the girls won't have to clean them haha and doors just get in the way of where you want to go LOL .
I like that ladder you are standing on looks like it could be a broken leg or hip at some point in time
To protect all of your animals you should get a Maremma livestock guardian dog. Cheaper than fencing the entire farm with electric wires etc. Or maybe do both! LOL.
We have both. Lol
Good luck on the bobcat. Safe travels . Do you think you will be filming in Alaska any . And as always you have the best looking cabin on RUclips
Alaska jobs pay some big money.. I'm sure that persuaded you quite a bit to leave the home build... going to miss your videos good luck on your new job.. hope to see you back soon..
I will keep posting videos.
Good luck.
take care
well its good money stay safe
Happy for your new opportunity up in Alaska. Hope all goes well for you and your family. I will keep you all in my prayers.
