I had no idea that those three songs were part of a love triangle trilogy, which each party getting to narrate one song. Taylor is incredibly clever with the details! 🥰💕
I love how she says "I bury hatchets but I keep maps of where I put them" in End Game and then she follows with "I took an axe to a mended fence" in This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, this struck me only recently haha, I didn't connect the dots, Taylor connects her songs in many ways many times and sometimes it's really hard to keep up
I believe that the love triangle from folklore album is one of the fastest thing to be discovered back in 2020 days after folklore's release. It was such an amazing storyline by just listening to it and immensing yourself to each tracks.
I always loved the lyric "you don't need to save me, but would you run away with me?" from Call it what you want to and Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince "Voted most likely to run away with you." I especially love the melodies together too. . .
I never made that connection, but that same line can be connected to love story’s “all there’s left to do is run” and also “baby just say yes”, which in CIWYW is referenced in “would you run away with me? Yes!” this is a big reason to why CIWYW is my favorite TS song
Taylor Swift is truly a genius 😄😄 I mean she truly puts a lot of Easter eggs in her songs and guess that’s what I like the most about her and list was useful because there was a lot I didn’t know about but I did notice the little black dress reference in both Tim McGraw & The other side of the door😊
I love the double meaning of Maroon, the immediate association is the color (and callback to Red, song/album) but it also means leaving someone stranded
Two allusions I love is Champagne Problem's "One for the money, Two for the Show" and The Archer's "One all King's Horses, All the Kings Men" about taylor shattered like Humpty Dumpty
Another note about “…Ready for It?”: in that same line, “jailer” seems to be a pun, as the song (as were many love songs on Reputation and onwards) is believed to be about Joe Alwyn. While it’s more common for Swifties to either lovingly or mockingly (or both) refer to their coupling as “Toe,”it seems she was trying to make “Jaylor” happen.
toe is so funny because now swifties are being all respectful saying “tayvis” instead of “traylor” (which the media was pushing at first), joe really got the short end of the stick 😭
About the link between 'tis the damn season' and 'dorothea', I read a theory about 'Tim McGraw' being related to these songs too. The narrator says goodbye to her high school bf with 'Tim McGraw' because she was moving from her hometown to chase a fame career. Years later he sees her on TV and sings about it with 'dorothea', and finally she returns to visit her hometown, meeting him again and completing the cycle with 'tis the damn season'
well tim mcgraw is autobiographical and dorothea/ttds is, like the majority of folklore/evermore songs, fiction that draws heavily from her personal experiences. so they’re connected, but not narratively. i love those associations though. midnight rain could fit with the dorothea character too, after she leaves
@@careless_daughter yeah I read that Tim McGraw was about Taylor saying goodbye to a bf in her teen years, probably that's where the inspiration comes for this theory. Now that you mention Midnight Rain, it fits soooo perfectly with the other songs. In any case I love how she could connect little things from her songs so her fandom could make a whole new story about it
Kanye is so jealous of Taylor. He does that to her when she's accepting an award, he apologizes, she accepts his apology, then he and Kim turns around and edits a phone conversation Taylor didn't even know was being recorded and tries (and almost succeeds) in destroying her career. It was so bad Taylor went into hiding for about a year with people trashing her while Kim and Kanye was enjoying all the attention. Needless to say, Karma hit him hard
omg definitely didn't know about the bird chirping and HELLO TAYLOR READ A TALE OF TWO CITIES? LIKE DID SHE LIKE IT? Honestly I read that book only becuase of Tessa Gray and Will Herondale and I really did like the story, but I was really bored during certain parts, like it's realism so it is kinda bound to be boring cause of lot of ddescriptions and stuff. Like pls tell me that she's human and she was a litt ebit bored too if she read the whole book.
The instrumental of clean kinda sounds like rain The opening of dear John sounds like an opening of gravity by john mayor (yes I know it’s spelled wrong)
Even though i don't listen to Taylor Swift "You cut me deep, Emely, you cut me real deep just now". Happy saturday to you and God bless you. Take care, and greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Deja Vu by Olivia Rodrigo uses a sample of Cruel Summer! And Olivia even covered Cruel Summer before she became famous and Cruel Summer came out as a single! It's the "I love you, ain't that the worst thing you ever heard?" turns into "do you get Deja Vu?"

With Taylor Swift… you’re gonna need more than just a top 10
I had no idea that those three songs were part of a love triangle trilogy, which each party getting to narrate one song. Taylor is incredibly clever with the details! 🥰💕
It happens something similar on evermore with tis the damn season (Dorothea perspective) and also Dorothea (man's perspective)
I think thats why I love Folklore and Evermore so much. The stories from her imagination are truly visionary.

Also in invisible string she mentions 'getting lunch down by the lakes' in reference to track 17 'the lakes'
with all too well she says all well that ends well and in lover she says all well that ends well to end up with you
Kid Danger: *wearing his big trucker pup outfit* i love Taylor Swift! My favorite song from her is "Love Story". and "White Hosre" too. Sometimes.
