How you liking the city i was looking at one of these.
I'd like to see more manufacturers go in this direction. Maybe even go for another inch or so larger. If not that than at least widen the 15 inches by an inch or so. Larger wheels bring much better centrifugal effect thereby increasing stability a lot. I think the center of gravity on a scooter with a rider, is too high, so that whatever centrifugal force generated by small wheels is overpowered and brings on instability. Larger wheels would always be better regarding this.
Informative review. Good too see OhManDan still in action. That Achilles looks pretty fast to be in such a small body.

Yeah @John Richardson... the Achilleus is way faster than I expected to get. It wasn't with my GPS though, so subtract 4mph and we get 50mph. Which, for my weight is pretty good.

No... I'm far from finished Brother. Just doing a lot of work behind the scenes to help build this industry into a very sustainable one. Spending lotsa time and money towards that cause. I'll be talking about some of the advancements and roadblocks facing us in the coming weeks.
I am also still running my Company of 36yrs and it keeps me pretty busy (I have a lot of very solid Customers who depend on me keeping their Businesses Profitable)
I am getting close to passing the reigns to one of my Protégés as New CEO in the next three years and I just resign to Chairman Of The Board.
But I have several things coming. Dissapointed in the fact that I have $40,000 dollars of paid Scooters that I've been waiting over a year for that has not arrived and based on excuses I don't see them coming anytime soon. But I'm still moving forward and prepared to buy new ones... in talks now for three new 2022 models. I don't buy Pre Production anymore so I am coordinating with them when I should purchase to get the Production Model of their New Scooters. But I think you all will be thrilled with these new models and me giving my uniquely honest, raw, Transparent FACTS on those Units.
Remember, unlike ANY RUclipsr out there, I am The ONLY RUclipsr who BUYS ALL of his Electric Scooters (over $95,000 dollars spent on eScooters)

10:12 same thing on my 2 dualtron cities. they engineer such a beautiful scooter and make the kickstand so long they need to be cut just to work properly. still worth every penny though!

Buy an adjustable kickstand.
@@rxonmymind8362 yeah I just cut an inch off of each kickstand and now they don't fall over any more so all is good. I highly recommend this scooter tho I have had them for 4 months now and they are so amazing
"The City" - with it's bigger wheels - should be the scooter with the most power (and highest top speed). Bigger wheels are more stable - makes no sense to give the small wheel scooters more power. Also...why couldn't they put a foot rest on the City? I know it's available - but should be standard....

That's the one GRIPE I have with ALL our Favorite Manufacturers (they just KEEP making small incremental changes) never going the extra mile, and making noticeable changes that MOVE the NEEDLE FORWARD so that we get closer to a more sustainable Incommture.

Dualtron archellius is good in offroad?
I test rode the city. I couldn't get past 30. How could I get up to 45. I was on high power settings.
was that 54 mph on the scooter display or gps? if the display its not correct. the display reads higher then reality. i have a bluetran lightning, my speed is about 4 mph to high at high speeds. i lowered the tire size a bit and now it matches my gps . my top speed via dragy gps is 54 mph on my bluetran. my best 0-40 mph is 8.2 seconds. i weight 158 pounds with gear
Hey @ALEX LITTIG... I totally AGREE with you. No it was not GPS. I wish I had connected during that run but everything was so unplanned. Got caught up in the hooplah with my Super Star Brothers in Town and decided to join in the festivities. I think we both are pretty sure that the speed is more like 50mph by Dragy GPS.

@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan all good. I sure love the city. My only gripes about it are the weak motors. You have a 15 inch tire. You now have room to fit a much larger hub motor like a euc has but they didn't. With the stability this scooter has they could easily go 84v and 70 mph top speed with larger motors. This first iteration for a 15 inch tire scooter is great but I see so much room for improvement. Also use wider 15 inch tires. I wouldn't even mind if it was more money. I also wish dualtron would switch to signwave controllers. They are the future. And they are going to fall behind If they don't keep up with tech. The bronco 11 extreme seams like a way better value then all the dualtron scooters. A scooter I would love to own but I don't have the room. It can do 0-50 mph in 8.2 seconds via dragy on Jimmy changs channel. Something no dualtron can do and hit 70 mph that's faster then the nami. But for now the bluetran lightning will be sufficient enough till I buy a house when that becomes feasible again.

I have an Achilleus... thought about a City (and the Nami Burn E). Sometimes wish I had biought the City, but have NO qualms about the Achilleus EXCEPT the tires should be rubber PMT for the price! Had to replace the double lock collar with a far superior Erexx. Still, I am quite thrilled with the great quality of Dualtron even after many months... still exciting to ride!

You're absolutely right... the Achilleus is can amazing Scooter, especially with PMT Tires. The Errex Locking Clamps are so superior. Did you get the Errex Steering Damper as well?
Why did you replace them?
@timucin pusat the double clamp collar used inferior/crappy metal and one of the washers (plastic) broke. Erexx makes a MUCH BETTER one.

Quick question. I just bought a Thunder 2. LOVE IT and will be using it for my weekend long exploring trips with some buddies. I'm looking to replace my Mantis for an everyday commuter for the other days I'm not using my Thunder 2 and as a 2nd option for someone to use and ride with me. I've narrowed it down to these 3......
1. Spider 2
2. Victor Lux
3. Achilleus
.......which would your suggest I get out of those 3?

Congratulations on your acquisition of the Thunder 2, you are going to love every Ride. Don't forget to GearUP.
The Achilleus and Victor Luxury will be two definite close comparisons.
The Achilleus will give you more Range than the Victor Lux but the Victor Lux will be like 16lbs lighter in weight. The manufacturer claim both will get 45mph but the Achilleus gave me 54mph while testing at VoroMotors. The Victor Lux gave me 47mph top speed. The Achilleus is about 330 more watts of power per motor than the Victor Lux and all three come with the more advanced 21700 cells LG Pack.
My choice on Paper and Real Life, would be The Achilleus but I do believe they are both close enough to say that it boils down to Your personal preference with these two.
The Spider 2 weighs around 20lbs less than the Victor Lux, and you'll get around the same range with the Spider 2 edging out the DT Victor Luxury by a couple miles. The Spider 2 is very very nimble, (its weight and build makes it more nimble of these three already nimble Scoots), i was able to get a top speed with my weight... of 46mph on the Spider 2.
...of course the Spider 2 does take the cake in the weight category as it has always been the record holder in this Class for lightest eScooter per performance ABILITY. So if you want a more portable unit out of the three that crown would go to the Spider 2.

I have really fallen in love with the Dualtron Victor Luxury. It's small and light package has become my favorite Scooter for wheelie practice.
It is so much fun trying to learn how to do and hold wheelies because it is so light and powerful. This thing immediately jumps off the ground set to full power.
That being said... it's size is way to small for me to recommend it over the Achilleus. The Achilleus packs more sustainable Power, has a much bigger deck, more stability and is also very nimble.
I think the biggest interest for me with the Dualtron Victor Lux is how much power and how it disseminates that power.
I think that's why I love MiniMotor's Dualtron Brand Scooters... because there is a Scooter for everyone withing that Brand. I have bought (16) sixteen Dualtron Brand Scooters and each one gives me something different, making it hard to really compare them because I get WHAT I WANT out of each one.
So there you have it Buddy... I would choose the Achilleus over the Victor Lux.

I come from the ⚡️🛵 Moped world (like a NIU NQI)….I love to sit & ride n glide….but I’m about to get this City w/a Seat & an E-bike (Lectric)! I’d def pick the City even over the New Segway Ninebot G1 G2 etc….that they’re about to release! Minimotors will probably release a City 2 w/72V 52ah 🔋🔋 in the near future! 😍

Like me... I primarily focus on the Big Power Beast Scooters. Mainly because no one else was reviewing them when i got serious and started over three and a halve years ago.
There were no Vendors giving Power Scooters away or paying RUclipsrs affiliate fees...
So I started my Channel covering Power Scooters with a twist... I was and still remain the ONLY RUclipsr who BUYS ALL of his Electric Scooters (no affiliate links, no discounts, no freebies, no favors) just raw, unbiased reviews, not beholding to any Vendor or Manufacturer.
It's expensive to do Power Scooters. I've already spent over $95,000 dollars on Scooters with 32 Power Scooters in my Collection now.

Hey Dan!! Whats your opinion on Achilleus vs Bluetran Lightning?
Hey @Jonesyb1985... I hope all is well with you and your Family.
Well, one is a Dualtron and the other is a relatively new Brand howbeit, developed by the same Company (MiniMotors)
The BlueTran Lightning is a great Scooter with several innovative features but there are several units out with serious stability issues (after speaking with John and Cooper over at MiniMotorsUSA.com. I was told the issues with the extreme Speed Wobble was a result of the Manufacturer not tightening the Headset Jam Nut. After fixing several Scooters they say, that they have had no more issues. However, several people have reached out to me and said that they needed to also install the Steering Damper which seemed to address the Speed Wobble issue completely. (The ONLY Steering Damper available for the Lightning is the ERREX @ $500)
I like the fact they were very innovative (the 1st 10" wheel with 72V System- the 10" wheel is known for stability issues though)
They added the Variable height adjustment (though only at 3/4" to 1" max, knowing the deck is ONLY 5" from ground)
The 1" Stem adjustment is good if you want to add a little extra height.
I love the Range (I was able to get 60 miles on a grueling 3.5hr Max Range Test at 20mph or slower)
The Achilleus is a Dualtron Scooter made with Dualtron Quality. You can feel the durability difference. It is suppose to come close in specks but it comes with a 60V 35Ah 21700 series Pack and the BlueTran has a 72V System. Both Scooters come with dual 2000+W Motors (4600W & 5000W nominal) I could ONLY get the BlueTran up to 37mph due to severe Speed Wobble... I got the Achilleus up to 54mph (no Damper, no Wobble but it was display and not GPS, so I drop the 4mph variance and call it 50mph)
The Achilleus has bigger more stable 11"X4" run flat Tires, Larger Deck, and Foot Rest. Both have those cumbersome Fold Locking Clamps, Deck Lighting, Tail and Brake Lights, rear Flashers and Turn Signals.
If I had to pick today, I would go with the Achilleus ONLY because of the Stability and being able to prove its stated speed of 47mph.

Hey @Jersey Style... it is always a possibility when you haven't been shipped yet. Sometimes even after shipped and you recieve it, some Vendors will take it back and upgrade to a bigger unit as long as you have not opened or ridden it.
If I were you, I'd call them in the morning and ask. Nothing beats a try but a failure.

Many Vendors are not in positions to take back every Scooter unless they can still sell them as new.
Only a hand full of Vendors go over and beyond by taking care of Customers further than they are obligated to do.

Waterproof the Dualtron City. A simple rubber gasket in the battery lid instead of a hole at the bottom to let water escape..
Thanks @Dib Irken... waterproofing is always at the top of the list for improvements and yet, still there's no one listening. We should be much more advanced in waterproofing Electric Scooters by now.

HOPEFULLY Dualtron LISTENS and does this next. Speed anybody can do. I'm interested in safety of a several thousand dollar equipment on the off chance you get caught in a rain.
I got caught in pouring down rain 2x on the Dualtron City here in FL with no problems yet (fingers crossed)
Dualtron City has less power, but it's certainly ok.
BUT, the handlebar post is extremely short!

Steering Pole shimmy on Single Pole Scooters is actually normal and very necessary. There is a lotta pressure in the Steering Pole when we ride our Scooters and to mitigate catastrophic failure there has to be attention paid to the laws of physics. In order NOT to SNAP the Pole in half there has to be "FLEX". Like a tall skyscraper needs "FLEX" in order to ride out an earthquake without breaking and collapsing.
We NEED the FLEX Brother or else there would be tons of catastrophic damage, injuries, and even death.
Hopefully one of our Favorite Manufacturers can come up with a viable solution that takes good care of the physics part of our Steering Poles so that we can enjoy the Scooters like a Dualtron X Brand Scooter.
It takes some getting use to but as you keep Riding, you will become quite accustomed to and even embrace the safety feature of the "FLEX" knowing it's actually for our GOOD.
There are things you can do to sure up the severity of "FLEX" because it should not be a hard wiggle front and back. It should be a certain amount of "FLEX".
You can start by making sure you sufficiently tighten the locking Clamps, and make sure your headset jam nuts are properly tightened. To take it further... you can add a Steering Damper to mitigate any speed wobble and consider adding better rubber Tires (like PMTs) to give more grip.
I do like the fact that the CITY does not display the "FLEX" because the physics were properly addressed.

Do Achilleus vs Bluetran lightning
The Achilleus is more stable than the BlueTran Lightning, has bigger Wheels, higher ground clearance and more Torque.
The Lightning is sleeker, has a more modern appeal, ranks best in its mid-range class of 10" tire Scooters, gets great range in its class.
With a Steering Damper, the Lightning may give the Achilleus a good race. It will depend on the Rider though.

I think the Bluetran Lightning is less threatening at first sight to would be first time buyers.
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan What about the speeds and the accelerations compared? For me i will either get the 35ah bluetran or the Achilleus. Looks like the bluetran has 5000watts compared to the 4600
@@fpv.mp4 yeah there is a larger wattage for the BlueTran but when you accelerate they are both pretty close.
It will really boil down to personal preference as both are nice Scooters, I would prefer the Achilleus over the BlueTran only because the BlueTran gives me that small Commuter feel when Riding both Scooters, especially those SMALL wheels.
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan For me the choice seems more or less clear(bluetran). But the storm is only 400 more for me (3400) and the thunder 2 (4000). I live in spain the only roads you are allowed to drive are 30kmh limit. Which one would you choose (value/situation in spain)?
@@fpv.mp4 Of course based on the majority of my Scooters... I am really oriented towards BiG Power Machines. I've started covering more popular machines for those interested in something less but because I love telling the truth... when someone presses me about which I prefer... I'm pretty much always leaning towards the Bigger, Badder, more powerful Scooter.
There are some exceptions and Technological improvements usually sway me toward those improvements over power.
...but here, I am still leaning towards the Achilleus. I like the BlueTran a lot but all the speed wobble, the small tires just push me away from choosing for its technological advances.

RUclips's algorithm makes it difficult to build a Channel but once you figure out the way it works, you can build your Channel better. I just haven't had the time lately because I'm doing so much behind the scenes, plus when my US Tour was finished I had to catch up with my Clients. I'll be fully caught up in three weeks and able to commit more time.
