It would be worth reconditioning your old alternator (with genuine parts where possible) and have that sitting on the shelf (or the back of your wagon) ready to go. Thanks for the updates

G60's coming along nicely. I am after a good set of drums that don't have a big worn lip in them or contaminated by brake fluid, with backing plates and all internals minus the shoes. probably on the heavy side for postage and maybe not worth the work if someone just wants the diffs. North-East Victoria.

Bruuuuh those roadsafe alternators are JUNK.
They always blow regulators. I rang Baxters (the manufacturer) with an issue and the bloke let out a sigh followed by “I really wish we didn’t sell these”.. doesn’t look good coming from the manufacturer.
HA yea that's not a good sign. We'll run it and see I guess.
